Chapter 135: You Are the One Who Killed Her!
Rong Qiaoyi was still in the hotel, staring at the Guanyin wood before her. Consumed by rage, she used her spiritual energy to incinerate it to ashes. She cast a glance at the figure lying on the floor, the coldness in her eyes deepening.
"Damn it, what on earth is going on? I was watching the whole way, how could the object still be missing?"
With a wave of her hand, Rong Qiaoyi brought the unconscious Father Chu back to his senses. The moment he saw her, his eyes were filled with terror.
"You—what do you want? I'm telling you, I will... I will call the police!"
Father Chu was nearly wetting himself in fear; his mind was flooded with the bizarre, horrifying images he had seen before losing consciousness.
"As long as you listen to me, I won't kill you. I might even grant your wishes."
At this juncture, she had to secure a powerful ally; otherwise, finding other items containing the power of the Deer Spirit would be far too difficult. But that was not what worried Rong Qiaoyi the most. What troubled her more was the information contained within those items. If Xie Jinchuan and the others were to find them, would they uncover the things she had done in the past?
At the mere thought of this, an uncontrollable nervousness gripped her heart. If they truly found out, it would be disastrous.
"Did you hear me?"
Rong Qiaoyi took a step forward and crouched down before Father Chu, manifesting a flicker of spiritual energy in her hand that illuminated his face. To Father Chu, this orb of energy looked like a ball of fire, capable of burning him to ash at any moment.
"I... I heard you..." He nodded hurriedly, terrified that saying the wrong thing would displease her.
"As long as you follow my instructions and find what I want, making your Chu Corporation world-renowned will be effortless—to say nothing of a mere Xie Corporation."
Upon hearing this, Father Chu’s eyes widened in shock. "You... how do you know what I want?"
Rong Qiaoyi savored his reaction, as if she had returned to the days after that woman’s death when she had been revered as a Goddess. It was truly gratifying.
"Didn't I tell you? It is because I am a god."
...
Outside the hotel, Xie Jinchuan stood at the entrance. He looked up toward the top floor, his eyes dark and inscrutable.
"It's here."
He murmured to himself. Under the cover of moonlight, he ascended, flying directly into the suite.

The sound of the door closing echoed. He caught a glimpse of the door and chased after it immediately. However, without realizing it, surreal scenes began to emerge before his eyes. He narrowed his gaze and shattered the barrier before him.
"President Xie, I wonder why you are chasing me so relentlessly? Are you not afraid your little girl will get jealous?"
The voice was heard, but the person was nowhere to be seen. Rong Qiaoyi’s voice echoed from all directions; clearly, this place was an illusion.
Xie Jinchuan was about to speak when the scene before him shifted, causing his eyes to widen in shock. The sounds of war—clashing iron and galloping horses—filled the air. Before him was the scene of the Great War between Gods and Demons from tens of thousands of years ago.
"How is it? Does this all seem familiar? The past is still vivid in your mind. I didn't expect that even I would feel such pity for my dear sister."
"She died to save you, so how could you bear not to resurrect her? Oh, although you have found a substitute for her now, you must not forget the debt of gratitude my dear sister showed you."
Rong Qiaoyi’s seductive voice drifted through the air. The protagonist looked at the figure within the light, feeling as if the past had come to life once more. He did not know what to say or do, but upon seeing that silhouette, his eyes turned red. Even though he knew this was all an illusion, he could not help but reach out to touch it.
"Don't..."
Suddenly, a soft whisper reached his ears. It was very faint, yet he recognized the voice instantly.
"...It's you."
A flicker of nostalgia appeared in Xie Jinchuan's eyes. In the next second, the Frost Sword appeared in his hand, and a chill that pierced the heavens sliced the illusion open. He fell into a new abyss.
In the depths of the abyss, Rong Qiaoyi watched the man fall with a cold expression. She twitched her fingers, and the woman standing beside her slowly approached the man.
"It's me. Don't you recognize me anymore?"
It was a soft, gentle voice that Xie Jinchuan had never forgotten. He stared at the mist-like fog surrounding him and walked forward slowly.
He didn't know if he had touched something, but the mist dissipated. Standing only three or five steps away from him was a figure.
"Jinchuan?"
The woman's voice, filled with disbelief and uncertainty, rang in his ears. Xie Jinchuan looked at the figure standing there and walking toward him in shock. He instinctively took a step back.
"Do you truly not recognize me? Or is it as my sister said—that you have already found a substitute, and therefore no longer want me?"
The surroundings were pitch black, save for the soft light radiating from the woman. She was as dazzling and bright as when she had first met him.
Rong Qiaoyi stood behind them, smiling. "Xie Jinchuan, haven't you always wanted to see her? Now that I have brought her to you, why are you afraid?"
"Oh, how could I forget? You have found a substitute who looks exactly like her, haven't you?"
The woman’s expression turned to one of disbelief; she stopped in her tracks, looking at Xie Jinchuan with wounded eyes. "Is it true? Is it really as my sister said?"
Looking at the woman before him—though she looked identical to Shen Qingli—her aura, her mannerisms, her speech, and her expression were all like a different person. She was exceptionally detestable.
"You are not her."
Xie Jinchuan said coldly, swinging his long sword directly at her. The woman dissipated like smoke, only to gather together once more.
"Hahahaha! Xie Jinchuan, stop struggling. This is your inner demon. Is it because you killed her with your own hands during the Great War of Gods and Demons?"
"That's right. Aside from me, no one knows this. That is why everyone calls you the God of War, praising your heroism and how you sacrificed your most beloved to save the world."
Rong Qiaoyi stepped forward, laughing wildly, almost maniacally. Seeing the dark, gloomy look in the man's eyes, she knew she had guessed correctly.
"I was wondering why you were so desperate to resurrect her, collecting her soul fragments. It turns out you really were the one who killed her!"
She spoke with feigned surprise, repeatedly stabbing at the scar in the man's heart. Seeing the flash of red light in the man's eyes, Rong Qiaoyi knew the time had come. She pinched a incantation, attempting to seize control.
The moment she saw the man's pupils covered by the red light, she knew she had succeeded.
"Be obedient. Come here."
She laughed coquettishly, her eyes filled with triumph. "I knew you would come looking for me, so I intentionally set up this formation to tear open a gap in your heart, the better to control your soul."
