Chapter Seven
"Boom!!"
As Chu Tianhe finished speaking, a furious bolt of lightning tore across the sky. In an instant, dark clouds pressed down upon the sun, and the city of Jiangzhou, once basking in clear skies, was shrouded in gloom.
The sudden drop in atmospheric pressure made it hard to breathe. Li Changshun, especially, was frozen in place after locking eyes with Chu Tianhe's cold, murderous gaze. It was as if he had been struck by lightning; even the searing pain in his body was instantly blocked out by his nerves, for he witnessed something far more terrifying.
Those eyes—a pair of dreadful eyes from the Abyssal Hell—seemed capable of piercing a man's soul in a single glance.
Swish!
In the next moment, Chu Tianhe lunged forward, unleashing a shockwave so powerful it forced Tian Jiu, who stood nearby, to stagger back seven or eight steps. He quickly dropped to one knee, beads of cold sweat forming on his brow.
Chu Tianhe raised his hand and gripped Li Changshun's neck. With the strength of a single hand, he lifted him off the ground.
"Ugh... I... you..."
Li Changshun coughed in quick succession, his eyes brimming with terror.
"You... what are you... planning... my brother..."
Chu Tianhe, holding Li Changshun with one hand, strode toward the edge of Huihao Tower, suspending Li Changshun outside the building.
All it would take was Chu Tianhe letting go, and Li Changshun would plummet from the thirtieth floor, reduced to a bloody pulp.
"Xiao Rou jumped from here. Now it's your turn."
Chu Tianhe's eyes burned with killing intent. Meanwhile, below Huihao International, countless Divine Martial Guards had gathered. Li Changhu had just arrived, looking up at that very moment to see Chu Tianhe holding Li Changshun aloft by the neck.
"Brother!!"
"Goddammit, let him go!!"
Li Changhu's eyes bulged in rage as he roared, waving his hand, "Charge! Charge! Get up there! Tear that bastard to pieces! Flay him alive!"
At Li Changhu's command, thousands of Divine Martial Guards surged toward the upper floors.
Li Changhu, consumed by fury, rushed into Huihao Tower.
"My brother is here! You're dead meat! He'll tear you apart and grind you into mush!"
Seeing Li Changhu arrive, Li Changshun felt a surge of confidence.
With the Divine Martial Guards protecting them, who would dare touch the Li family?
---
Yet at this moment, Chu Tianhe merely cast a cool gaze downward and spoke, "Tian Jiu, is that the last member of the Li family below?"
"Yes, Palace Lord!"
"Good." Chu Tianhe nodded. Just as Li Changhu stepped forward to enter Huihao Tower, Chu Tianhe released his grip.
"Ahhh—!!"
Li Changshun's wretched scream tore through the sky, drawing everyone's gaze upward. Li Changhu was no exception. He watched in shock and fury as his brother's body plummeted.
Someone had dared to kill his brother right before his eyes!
Unforgivable. He would annihilate them all!
Bang!
It took only five seconds; the crowd hadn't even had time to cry out, and Li Changhu hadn't uttered a word. With a muffled thud, Li Changshun crashed to the ground in front of Li Changhu, his eyes wide open, dead without peace.
"Brother!!"
Li Changhu's eyes nearly burst with rage as he dropped to his knees before Li Changshun's corpse, letting out a thunderous howl.
The Divine Martial Guards behind him were all stunned.
In an instant, terror flickered in everyone's gaze.
Li Changshun was dead?
He had been thrown from the top floor, right in front of Li Changhu!
The sky above Jiangzhou was about to collapse.
After a brief moment of shock, all eyes turned upward. What stunned them even more was that Chu Tianhe had no intention of fleeing—he still stood at the edge of Huihao Tower, overlooking them like a lofty god, disdainful of all below.
"Why are you all standing there? Charge! Capture him alive—I want to skin him myself!"
Li Changhu’s roar was deafening, and the Divine Martial Guards snapped out of their shock, rushing madly into Huihao Tower.
"Palace Lord, how should we proceed? Shall we kill them?"
Seeing ten thousand fully armed Divine Martial Guards storming the building, Tian Jiu frowned, turned to Chu Tianhe, and asked respectfully.
"Soldiers bear no guilt—the blame lies with their commander."
---
A cold gleam of murderous intent flashed in Chu Tianhe's eyes. He had only one goal: to wipe out the Li family.
The Divine Martial Guards were not at fault; they merely followed orders.
"That's him! Surround him!"
A wave of Divine Martial Guards stormed the top floor. Their leader, without hesitation, gestured for his comrades to encircle Chu Tianhe.
Bang!
Li Changhu kicked open the door to the rooftop passage, seething with rage and bloodlust as he strode forward.
"You dare kill a member of the Li family? I'll skin you alive—"
Li Changhu, boiling with rage and murderous intent, cursed as he stormed up to Chu Tianhe. But the moment their eyes met, his tirade abruptly ceased.
Swish!
A chill raced up Li Changhu's spine.
He swore he had never seen such terrifying eyes. A single glance felt as though he had been plunged into the underworld, with shrieks of ghosts echoing in his ears.
Gulp...
Li Changhu swallowed nervously. He was different from Li Changshun; Li Changshun was a businessman, unfamiliar with battle and ancient martial arts.
But Li Changhu was a commander, forged in blood and fire. He immediately recognized that Chu Tianhe was no ordinary man.
Only someone who had survived countless trials of life and death, endured endless blood and flame, could possess such fearsome eyes.
"Who are you?"
Li Changhu quickly regained his composure. Even as rage boiled within him, he dared not act recklessly.
"Temple of All Gods. Palace Lord."
"Chu Tianhe."
