"Brother, I’ll be borrowing your life for a while!"

As soon as they got into the car, Chen Ming’s vicious nature revealed itself. Without a word, he drove his foot hard into the supermarket owner’s chest.

"Chen Ming, I advise you not to seek your own death," Chu Tianhe glanced at him, instantly grasping his intentions.

"Seek my own death?" Chen Ming sneered, replying, "I’m here to cut off your path to survival, understand?"

Far from being deterred by Chu Tianhe’s warning, Chen Ming only became more ruthless, delivering several brutal kicks to the supermarket owner’s chest.

A sickening crack rang out. The sound of breaking ribs echoed as the already severely injured owner, unable to withstand the assault, died on the spot.

"Isn’t this just murder in broad daylight now?"

As he spoke, Chen Ming’s gaze shifted to Chu Tianhe, his eyes full of provocation and a cruel, twisted smile crossing his lips.

Chu Tianhe merely watched with cold detachment, making no move to intervene. He didn’t utter a word throughout, simply allowing Chen Ming to drag him straight into the Department of Public Security.

"Did you hear? Captain Chen arrested a martial artist!"

"Impressive! Captain Chen even dares to take on martial artists—amazing!"

"They say that guy committed murder in the street, bold as anything!"

"This time Captain Chen is bound to get another promotion!"

Inside the Department of Public Security, people buzzed with talk of Chen Ming’s exploits. Over the years, Chen Ming had apprehended countless criminals, earning countless merits. Yet none of them knew how many of those so-called criminals were actually created by his own hand.

"Captain Chen, according to procedure, now that we’ve brought him in, shouldn’t we notify the War Department?"

The two enforcement officers who had accompanied Chen Ming reported in after locking Chu Tianhe in the interrogation chamber.

"Notify the War Department? For what?" Chen Ming’s eyes flashed sharply. "We’ll question him first. Once we have what we need, then we can notify them."

By rights, once someone was brought in, they were supposed to be handed over to the War Department for processing. But Chen Ming’s personal grudge with Chu Tianhe was far from settled—there was no way he’d let him go so easily.

"Is he securely restrained?" Chen Ming turned to the two officers.

"Absolutely. We used special martial suppressors—handcuffs, leg irons, everything. He’s in the chamber that suppresses martial energies." The two officers grinned wickedly.

In truth, no matter how serious Chu Tianhe’s crime, only the War Department had the right to try him; the Department of Public Security could only hold him temporarily, not throw him into the torture chamber. Chen Ming’s actions made his intentions clear—he meant to take matters into his own hands. After all, the torture chamber was specially designed to suppress martial energy far more effectively than the limiting bracelets.

"Get everything ready for me. I intend to have some real fun with him."

"We’ve already prepared everything—the full interrogation kit, even charcoal braziers and branding irons," the two officers said, faces full of sycophantic smiles.

"You two know me well!" Chen Ming’s expression twisted into a ferocious grin. "Give me the key to the interrogation room!"

"Of course!" They nodded at once, handing over the key. They knew Chen Ming was planning to lock the chamber from the inside and torture Chu Tianhe at his leisure. No one would be able to enter until he’d had his fill.

This wasn’t the first time Chen Ming had done such things, and the two officers understood all too well.

Soon, Chen Ming entered the torture chamber, his sharp gaze landing directly on Chu Tianhe. In a cold voice, he said, "Chu Tianhe, tonight I’m going to have a good time with you!"

"And how do you intend to play?" At that moment, Chu Tianhe raised his head and looked at Chen Ming, his eyes filled with icy killing intent.
