"No! Something must have snuck in!"

The Skeleton Zombie King quickly realized where the problem lay. At the same time, all the zombies in the urban area let out frantic, shrill roars and began to converge. The quiet night was completely shattered; the entire city erupted into turmoil.

Acting on the Skeleton King’s orders, the zombies—including many elites who leaped between buildings with the agility of apes—scoured the area for the intruder. Yet, in the midst of this chaos, the three kings—Skeleton, Cat-Face, and Ghost-Infant—fixed their gazes on the direction where Brother Wu had inexplicably vanished, a vague sense of foreboding settling in their hearts.

A dark cloud drifted across the sky, obscuring the once-bright moon and plunging the world into darkness. As the night wind whistled through, bringing a chilling sensation, a slender figure began to slowly materialize on the street ahead.

"That is..." The Skeleton Zombie King frowned. Seeing the handsome face and the crisp white shirt, he recognized Lin Dong.

It was him!

The three kings had not expected that a rival Zombie King would dare to sneak in. Although the three were sinister and wild, they could not help but grow cautious, bracing themselves as if facing a formidable enemy.

"This is our territory; he wouldn't dare act recklessly," the Ghost-Infant Zombie King said, glancing behind him. The vast horde of zombies was approaching, and no single individual could withstand such a force, which gave him some confidence.

But Lin Dong’s expression remained indifferent. Without a hint of fear, he simply began to walk toward the three kings, step by step.

"Huh? What is he doing?" The Skeleton Zombie King instinctively took half a step back.

The Ghost-Infant Zombie King wore an expression of disbelief. "No way. Does he really dare to launch a frontal assault in our territory?"

Before he could finish his sentence, red light flickered in Lin Dong's eyes. A terrifying Domain of the Dead instantly expanded, and an incomparable, suffocating pressure swept over them like a tidal wave. To the three kings, it seemed as though a sea of blood was roiling behind the solitary figure of Lin Dong, exuding a powerful, oppressive aura.

Then, Lin Dong flashed forward like a violent storm, his movements carrying a force so overwhelming it threatened to stifle them.

"Retreat!" the Skeleton Zombie King roared. He scrambled backward, desperate to escape the pressure of the domain, intending to wait for his elite subordinates to arrive before engaging in a head-on battle. The Ghost-Infant and Cat-Face kings followed suit, retreating nearly a hundred meters.

However, to their surprise, Lin Dong did not pursue them. Instead, he stopped beside the corpse of the bulbous-nosed zombie and, with a wave of his hand, collected it.

"I said I wouldn't leave a single one for you, and I meant it."

"You..."

The Skeleton Zombie King stared in astonishment, a surge of humiliation rising in his chest. He had been so frightened by a mere scavenger that he had retreated this far.

By now, the streets of the entire city were trembling as the massive zombie horde arrived. Their terrifying visages emerged from every corner, while elite zombies leaped onto rooftops and walls, crawling on all fours like savage hounds, glaring downward.

Lin Dong surveyed the scene and decided it was time to leave; there was no need to take unnecessary risks.

"Alright, I'll finish you off next time... Goodbye."

He looked up and spoke, his tone calm, as if stating an undeniable fact. Then, his figure vanished instantly, leaving not a trace of his presence.

"Damn it!" The Skeleton Zombie King ground his teeth, feeling deeply humiliated by his inability to stop him. Lin Dong had entered their territory, taken all their prey, and left behind a provocative remark, demonstrating utter contempt. A storm of negative emotions—rage, frustration, and fury—boiled within him.

"ROAR—!"

He let out a long, heaven-shaking howl. The surrounding zombies followed suit, their collective cry shaking the entire city. But at this moment, it felt more like the impotent rage of the powerless.

...

Using the stealth capabilities of his Domain of the Dead, Lin Dong moved at high speed. Before long, he crossed the river bridge and returned to his own territory.

Waiting for him were Tank, Xiao Ba, Flower Pot, and the "unofficial member," Flap-Ear. Behind them, a large number of zombies had gathered, having heard the thunderous roars from across the river and fearing something had gone wrong, ready to rush to his aid.

"Heh heh, Boss, you're back? Were there humans across the river?" Flap-Ear asked with a sycophantic smile.

"Not anymore."

With a wave of his hand, Lin Dong released all the 'prey.' The bodies lay scattered about—over twenty of them, including many cat corpses.

"Whoa!" Tank exclaimed, admiring his boss. Even in another Zombie King’s territory, he could harvest so much prey—not just the 'main course,' but 'little snacks' too...

"Keep a close watch here and stay alert to any movements from the other side," Lin Dong reminded them, unsure if the enemy would act on impulse and launch an attack. However, the river bridge was easy to defend and difficult to take.

An attacking force would easily fall into a disadvantageous position.

"Yes, yes, don't worry, Boss. If they dare to come over, I'll wipe them out!" Tank promised repeatedly.

"Eat up."

Lin Dong vanished again, returning to his home in the high-rise building. Fortunately, after a few more roars of impotent rage, the other side fell silent; clearly, they were not charging over.

Tank and the others began their bloody feast. But Flap-Ear, being an 'unofficial member,' stood a short distance away, unable to join in, drooling as he watched. He felt envious; since the apocalypse began, he had never seen such a 'lavish' scene.

"They're already eating, why didn't anyone invite me..."

Flap-Ear felt awkward standing there watching. He shuffled forward and nudged Tank, looking for the easiest one to talk to.

"Brother Ke, didn't you say... if I needed anything, I could come to you?"

"Right, you need something?" Tank asked, turning around.

"Heh heh heh..." Flap-Ear grinned sheepishly. "Can I have a bite?"

"Oh... no problem. You did help discover the prey, after all. I'll get you something good."

Tank nodded repeatedly. Flap-Ear’s eyes lit up with excitement, thinking that Brother Ke was indeed a righteous fellow who kept his word. He rubbed his hands together like a fly, waiting in eager anticipation.

Tank rummaged through the pile and casually tossed over a dead cat.

"Eh? Just this?" Flap-Ear’s face went blank, feeling a bit disappointed. He thought he was getting something good! Cat meat was a bit sour, fine for a light snack, but...

Just then, Tank snapped a cat paw off with a 'crack' and handed it over.

"Cat-paw 'biscuits.' You deserve the best. Eat up, don't be shy."

"..." Flap-Ear felt black lines run down his forehead. Isn't this a bit too stingy?

It hurts—it hurts so much...
