“Hey, did you hear? Someone posted photos of Lin Wanxi and her boyfriend on the forum.”
“I saw them. It’s that guy in the long robe, right? He’s pretty handsome.”
“And he drives a BMW, too. Must be a rich kid. Otherwise, Lin Wanxi wouldn’t be interested in him.”
“Are you stupid? The BMW in the photo belongs to Lin Wanxi. She’s been driving it for almost a year.”
“Don’t you think it’s strange? Lin Wanxi is just a teacher. How does she have enough money to buy a BMW? That car was bought for her by her rich boyfriend a year ago. None of you knew, did you?”
“Really? Tell us more. What’s the story?”

No matter where Qin Luo went, he heard whispers about his alleged romance with Lin Wanxi.
Occasionally, someone would question the rumors, saying that a student from the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine had revealed the man seen with Lin Wanxi was actually their diagnostics teacher.
But that faint voice was quickly drowned out by the students’ lively chatter.
They preferred to believe Qin Luo was a student. Even if he wasn’t—he had to be! What could anyone do about it?
A forbidden romance between teacher and student—what thrilling, tantalizing words.
Only with that narrative could their curiosity and fantasies reach their peak.
How many people had once secretly loved their teacher? How many were left with regret?
Now, someone had succeeded, and inexplicably, others found themselves excited as well.

Today, Qin Luo didn’t dare wait for Lin Wanxi outside the Bioengineering building. He feared her fan club would tear him apart. Those lunatics were even offering a reward on the forum, saying they’d dig him out and bury him alive.
He’d just called Lin Wanxi, telling her he’d walk to the campus gate and wait for her there.

Bang!

Qin Luo collided head-on with a human marshmallow. He took a step back, but the marshmallow fell to the ground.

—No, it was a woman with two marshmallows of her own.

Anyone seeing this woman would first notice her chest.
A light gray business skirt clung tightly to her hips, its narrow waist accentuating every curve. Her top was a sheer yellow three-quarter sleeve blouse, unbuttoned deep at the collar, revealing expanses of creamy skin and a seductive line of cleavage nestled between two proud peaks.
Soft, pale, and as supple as peeled jelly, her chest quivered invitingly, promising a delightful touch.
She’d landed on the ground, her phone flung far off, with a man’s anxious “hello, hello” still echoing from the receiver. Clearly, she’d been distracted on the phone, just as Qin Luo had been lost in thought, not watching where he was going.
One silvery high heel had been kicked off to the side, her bare, shapely legs alluring and sensual. Unaware, she sat with her legs apart, exposing a glimpse of translucent lace underwear.
Now, she clutched her knee in pain, where the skin had been scraped and blood was beginning to seep out.

“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to. Are you alright?” Qin Luo cursed himself for being an animal. After knocking her down, his first reaction was not to help, but to let his eyes roam over her from head to toe.
“Unable to resist beauty.” The curse of a virgin.

“Can’t you watch where you’re going?” The woman glared at Qin Luo.
“I can see the surface wound, but I’m worried you might have hurt the bone,” Qin Luo said, embarrassed.
“I’m not that fragile. Help me up,” she demanded, reaching to push herself up. But the pain in her knee made her brows knot in a frown.
“Wait. Let me treat your wound first. If it gets infected, you could be left with a scar,” Qin Luo said, stopping her.
“But we should go to the infirmary. Who carries medicine around with them?” she asked.
“I do,” Qin Luo replied.
With a look of astonishment on her face, he pulled a clay-colored porcelain bottle from his pocket.

“What kind of medicine is that? Can it really disinfect?” The woman eyed the dark bottle in his hand with deep suspicion.
“Of course. It also relieves pain and promotes skin healing,” Qin Luo replied with a smile. He uncorked the bottle and sprinkled some of the black powder onto her wound.
“Ah—so soothing.” The woman moaned involuntarily.
Her gorgeous face tilted skyward, eyes gazing at some distant point, lips pressed together in ecstasy. Her chest, straining against the translucent fabric, rose and fell, the sensitive tips beneath barely concealed. In the sunlight, her expression was rapturous, lips moist, her whole being intoxicated as she murmured, “Ah, that feels so good.”
Qin Luo’s hand trembled; he nearly poured the entire bottle of golden pupa powder onto her knee.
Swallowing hard, he fumbled for something to say: “Does it stop hurting? Feels cool, doesn’t it?”
“Yes. And tingly. A little numb. What is this medicine? It’s amazing.”
“Heh, I made it myself,” Qin Luo answered, carefully tucking the bottle away. That golden pupa was extremely rare; to him, it was a treasure beyond price.
It was only to atone for knocking her down that he was willing to use it now.
Besides, he didn’t want to destroy such beauty. The powder, once the wound healed, would leave not a trace behind. Qin Luo couldn’t bear for such a beautiful woman to be left scarred because of his carelessness.

“Stingy. It’s not like I’d steal your secret,” she said, giving him a coquettish sidelong glance.
“Even if I told you, you couldn’t find the ingredients,” Qin Luo replied with a smile.
“Bring me my shoes,” she commanded, pointing to her high heels.
Qin Luo set them in front of her and asked, “Can you walk?”
She gave him another sidelong look. “Even if I can’t, I have to. What, am I supposed to sit here forever? It’s bad enough you’ve been staring for ages—should I let the whole campus see too?”
“Uh… actually, I didn’t see anything much,” Qin Luo stammered, blushing. He definitely saw things he shouldn’t have. But who told her to wear transparent underwear?

“Want to see again?” The woman licked her lips and narrowed her eyes at him.
“No need,” Qin Luo replied, swallowing with difficulty.
“Really not?” she teased, suddenly spreading her legs wide.
Qin Luo’s eyes lit up, but just as he looked, her legs snapped shut. She sat there laughing, her chest heaving wildly.
She shot him another glance. “I’ve seen right through you men.”
Qin Luo rubbed his nose and forced a bitter smile. “If you’re alright, let me help you up.”
“Come on, handsome. I’ll give you a chance—help me put my shoes on. You can touch my feet as much as you like,” she said, raising her shapely calf and closing her eyes in feigned surrender.
“You can do it yourself. I’m not that kind of guy,” Qin Luo replied. He wanted to “be that kind of guy,” but feared being played for a fool again.
He was still a pure-hearted virgin—how could he hope to outwit such a vixen?

“Hmph. But you’re the one missing out,” she laughed, putting on her own shoes.
Qin Luo hurried over to help her up and picked up her phone as well.
A voice was still anxiously calling from the receiver. Qin Luo held it to his ear and asked, “Can you hear me?”
There was a pause, then a voice replied, “I can hear you. Who are you? What happened to Miss Li?”
Qin Luo didn’t answer. He handed the phone back to the woman. “Your phone’s not broken.”
She giggled. “Little brother, could you be any cuter?”
“I just wanted to know if I needed to buy you a new phone. Since it’s fine, I won’t.”
“And what about this?” she pointed at her scraped knee.
“Well… how much do you want? I just started working and don’t make much money,” Qin Luo said warily.

The woman clutched her stomach, laughing so hard she could barely breathe. “Stop it, little brother, you’re killing me. Did I say I was going to ask you for money? You’ll have to compensate me in other ways.”
“What do you want?” Qin Luo asked. Other than his virtue, he had nothing else to give.
“Just answer a few questions,” she said. “What’s your name?”
“Qin Luo.”
“Are you a student at the Medical University? You said you were working?”
“I’m a teacher at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.”
She turned to size him up. “Really? You don’t look it. What’s your phone number?”
“This…”
“Relax, I won’t call you for no reason. But—if my leg has problems, I need someone to hold accountable, right?”
Qin Luo had no choice but to give her his number.
She entered it into her phone and pressed dial; instantly, Qin Luo’s own phone rang.
“All right. Now you can’t escape. If there’s a problem with my leg, you have to take responsibility,” she said with a laugh.
“Don’t worry. I won’t run,” Qin Luo promised.
“Good. Now, you can take me back,” she beckoned to him.
“Back? Where to?”
“My office, of course.”
“All right,” Qin Luo agreed after a moment’s thought. He couldn’t just walk away after knocking her down.

“Wow, look, isn’t that Li Qingcheng? Has she changed boyfriends again?” a passing student exclaimed, pointing at them.
“Isn’t this normal? Is Chinese style the new trend? Do all the guys have to wear long robes?”
“Heh, anyone tangled up with that demoness Li is in for a world of pain.”

Though the gossip sometimes reached Qin Luo’s ears, his simple, kind heart never dwelled on it.
He focused on supporting the woman, making sure she could limp along with his help.
His hand was around her slender waist, and every so often, he felt the softness of her chest.
A subtle, intoxicating fragrance drifted around him, stirring a deep, primal desire.
Her features were exquisite, her long, slightly curled hair cascading over her shoulders. Her figure was stunning, her presence alluring—like a poppy blooming in the night, beautiful to the point of danger, seductive to the death.
Qin Luo hadn’t intended to go near the Bioengineering building, but somehow this woman had led him there.
Other than keeping a steady hold on her, his mind was a blank. He didn’t even notice the familiar path.

“All right, we’re here. You can go now. Remember, you’re responsible for me,” the woman said, waving her phone at him with a coquettish smile.
“Don’t worry. Call me if anything happens,” Qin Luo replied inwardly. Don’t think you can blackmail me with this—I’m a doctor. I know exactly how bad your injury is.
“Very good. Well then... little brother, goodbye,” she said with a laugh.
“Little brother? Li Qingcheng, is this the guy you rejected me for? Since when did you start liking this type of boy?”
Behind them, a man with a sullen, menacing face sneered.
