Wan Daping spoke with resounding conviction, and Zhao Fan’s response was equally resolute. The two hit it off immediately, deciding on the spot to head to Feiteng Company to sign the contract.

Jiang Ying: "..."

Wait, how did the conversation shift so suddenly? And in a way that caught him completely off guard!

"Hold on, the way you two are talking, am I just an extra here, is that it?"

Zhao Fan and Wan Daping gave him a look. Neither spoke, but the message in their eyes was clear.

*Duh!*

Jiang Ying clicked his tongue: "You guys are really something..."

Zhao Fan’s heart stirred. Before Jiang Ying could finish, he draped an arm over Jiang Ying’s shoulder.

"Tell me, since you’ve caused me such a massive headache, shouldn't you make some sort of gesture?"

Even if the Du family of the capital was difficult to deal with, they weren't the only influential family. If Jiang Ying could cross paths with Du Xinyan, then he should be the one to step forward and handle the fallout. Zhao Fan didn't hide his intentions. Jiang Ying narrowed his eyes: "I’m not saying, Zhao Fan, you this..."

"Are you in or not?"

Zhao Fan didn't mince words, demanding an answer right then and there. Under the circumstances, what else could Jiang Ying say? He could only utter one word.

"Fine."

"Pleasure doing business with you." Zhao Fan raised an eyebrow, his tone lightening significantly.

Chen Tianyu and Duan Gaoxuan had been watching from the sidelines. Seeing a massive plot of land transform into a stake in the company, they both felt a bit dazed. They understood every word being said, so why did it feel so incomprehensible when put together?

With Jiang Ying’s concession, Zhao Fan took everyone back to the company. Xu An, having received the news, hurried into the office: "Did we really secure that land?"

Zhao Fan gestured toward the people in the office, finally pointing to Wan Daping: "The owner of the land."

"Hello, I am Wan Daping, the owner of the land you mentioned," Wan Daping said, reaching out to shake Xu An’s hand.

Xu An was momentarily stunned, but instinctively reached out to return the handshake. "Hello, I am Xu An, in charge of the auction process."

After the introductions, they sat down, and the conversation moved straight to the contract. An hour later, Zhao Fan and Wan Daping both stood up and shook hands.

"Pleasure doing business with you."

"Pleasure doing business with you."

Wan Daping’s land was valued as capital and converted into shares of Feiteng Company, which meant that after Han Chen, Wan Daping became the second shareholder of Feiteng. Zhao Fan hadn't expected that his company, having been open for such a short time, would end up with two shareholders due to various circumstances. Han Chen had contributed via technology, while Wan Daping had contributed via land.

Zhao Fan rubbed his chin, wondering when his company would finally see a shareholder who invested actual cash. Or rather, it should be said that he was the only one investing cash; Feiteng Company didn't have a single person lining up to put money in.

As these thoughts crossed his mind, Zhao Fan sighed inwardly and set the matter aside.

"It’s 5 o'clock. My treat—let’s find a private restaurant for a meal. Any objections?"

Those attending the meeting had no objections and readily agreed.

"Let’s go."

Zhao Fan signaled for them to head out first. He lingered behind, but just as he was about to step out of the office, he was pulled back.

"Chen Tianyu, Duan Gaoxuan, what are you two doing?"

Chen Tianyu’s face turned slightly flushed: "Um, Duan Gaoxuan and I are heading back."

Zhao Fan smiled, draping an arm over each of their shoulders: "Going back for what? I already said it’s my treat. Are you two trying to make me lose face?"

Chen Tianyu scratched his head: "That’s not what we meant, it’s just... it wouldn't be appropriate for us to join you for dinner."

Duan Gaoxuan chimed in: "We’re just your friends. Going to eat with your business partners—the situation doesn't feel right."

"What’s not right? After you graduate, you’ll be working for me anyway. Isn't it normal to get to know the people who make up the company in advance?"

Zhao Fan thought to himself that these two were rare friends. He didn't ask for them to be geniuses; as long as they weren't foolish, he could find a place for them.

"I’m telling you both now: when your internship period starts, no ifs, ands, or buts—you’re coming straight to my company. If there’s even a hint of hesitation, don’t blame me for turning cold."

Chen Tianyu and Duan Gaoxuan were led outside. Their faces showed surprise, but even more so, they were deeply moved. Throughout the day, they had been stunned by the content of Zhao Fan’s conversations with others. On one hand, they felt Zhao Fan was formidable; on the other, they felt a sense of inadequacy. After all, they were still studying, while Zhao Fan had already built a career. The gap between them couldn't be summed up in a few words.

After the meal, Zhao Fan sent everyone off and turned to greet Chen Tianyu and Duan Gaoxuan.

"Come on, I’ll drop you two off."

Chen Tianyu and Duan Gaoxuan felt embarrassed. "We’re making you drop us off, this is really..."

"Alright, enough with the nonsense. Get in the car."

By the time Zhao Fan returned home, it was midnight. Overcome with fatigue, he washed up briefly and went straight to bed.

The next day, he received a call from the company’s front desk saying an invitation to a banquet had arrived, labeled for the Yang family.

An invitation from the Yang family?

Zhao Fan found it strange, but he told the receptionist to bring it into his office. Once he arrived at the company and reviewed the invitation, he saw it was for 8:00 PM the following night at the Yang family’s private courtyard.

Speaking of courtyards, Zhao Fan suddenly realized his own place was too small. It wasn't obvious now, but when it came time to host banquets or similar events later, his current place really wouldn't cut it.

Though he thought this, Zhao Fan didn't have any immediate plans. At most, once the company’s cash flow returned, he would take advantage of low land prices to buy a few more plots and build one himself.

That same day, Zhao Fan made a special trip to Sangtian to inform Shi Wenxuan that the land had been secured.

"So, you’re saying the entire surrounding area belongs to you now?"

"Exactly. You can unleash your creativity as much as you want, as long as it’s safe and within regulations."

Having resolved the future arrangement for the company’s site, Zhao Fan felt very satisfied; this wasn't something that could be summarized in a few words.

"I hope your design will bring a shock to all of Yang City."

Shi Wenxuan took a deep breath: "I will not let you down, Mr. Zhao."

Zhao Fan thought to himself that a master architect from his past life certainly wouldn't disappoint him. He just wondered to what extent Shi Wenxuan would be able to perform. Thinking about how others would have to queue up to beg for designs from Shi Wenxuan in the future, while he already had his building designed and constructed by him, Zhao Fan felt a joy that was hard to put into words.

"Alright, I won't waste any more of your time here. I’m off."

After leaving Shi Wenxuan’s office, Zhao Fan wandered around for a bit before returning to the company. After a busy day, he set off for the Yang residence the following evening with the invitation in hand.

As soon as he arrived, he saw the place was a hive of activity. Young men and women in vests were bustling back and forth, still setting up the venue.

The venue wasn't even fully prepared yet.

"Zhao Fan."

A soft, smiling call came from nearby. Zhao Fan turned his head to see Yang Yuqing wearing a red fishtail dress, the form-fitting cut highlighting her elegant figure.

"Why are you here so early?"

Zhao Fan said, "It’s 8:00."
