"Fellow countryman!" The man in the blue robe immediately clung to the leg of one of the transmigrators.

"Brother, were you also tricked here by the Emperor?" The transmigrator, seeing the man grasping his thigh, switched off the translator and spoke to him in Chinese.

"I think so? Anyway, I saw a giant golden skeleton when I transmigrated," replied the blue-robed man.

"Then why are you in the Chaos faction?" The transmigrator lifted him up by the collar, making him stand properly to talk.

"Sorry, I just got too excited seeing someone from home." The blue-robed man realized his earlier behavior was a bit too much—clinging to someone’s leg right off the bat.

"When I transmigrated, I suddenly felt a strange force drag me away. When I woke up, I was already in the Realm of Chaos," he explained the process to the transmigrator.

After answering a few identity-check questions, the blue-robed man was brought before Wang Ming. Thanks to the earlier inquiries from other transmigrators, Wang Ming already knew this Chaos side countryman’s name was Xin Jian. Before transmigration, he had been a junior accountant at a company; now, he was the Changer of Ways’ chosen in Chaos.

"How did you get on the ship?" Wang Ming asked, curious. After all, the Gellar Field on the "Imperial Truth" was tech from the Human Federation’s Golden Age—it was supposed to block out almost all warp influences.

"I have no idea. Before I came here, I was in my room discussing philosophy with Magnus, and the next thing I knew, I was on this ship," Xin Jian recounted his experience truthfully.

"You discussed philosophy with Magnus?" Wang Ming asked in surprise. He now understood how Xin Jian had arrived—clearly Tzeentch’s handiwork.

"Of course! I even talked to him about his change of heart during the Horus Heresy," Xin Jian replied smugly.

"Well, that’s what transmigrators do," Wang Ming thought to himself. Stirring up some trouble was par for the course; who wouldn’t do a bit of mischief after transmigrating?

"Why did you knock out that crew member?" Wang Ming suddenly remembered the unlucky crewman Xin Jian had left unconscious.

"He saw me in the cargo bay. I was afraid he’d cause trouble for me, so I knocked him out right away. How was I supposed to know you’d start a ship-wide search because of that?" Xin Jian explained.

When Xin Jian had just appeared in the cargo bay, the crewman spotted him and immediately tried to call the security team. To avoid trouble, Xin Jian had used a psychic strike to knock him out cold.

"So what are you planning now? Will you come with me to Terra and let the Emperor help you with your corruption by Tzeentch?" After understanding the whole story, Wang Ming asked about Xin Jian’s plans.

"Forget it. If I actually set foot on Terra, the Custodian Guard would chop me into mince. Just throw me into space when you leave the warp. I’ll open a rift and head back myself," Xin Jian waved off the suggestion.

"Alright. It’s rare enough to meet a fellow countryman in this universe," Wang Ming sighed, and Xin Jian nodded in agreement.

"So, could I ask for a favor?" Wang Ming suddenly changed the subject, wanting Xin Jian’s help with a "small matter."

"What kind of favor?" Xin Jian asked, noticing Wang Ming’s dazzling smile and suddenly feeling uneasy.

"Nothing much. Would you mind trying to navigate for us with your psychic powers? Just help us steer a course. Our ship's Navigator is nearly driven mad by the warp storms," Wang Ming said.

A few days earlier, the Navigator aboard the "Imperial Truth" had almost lost his mind due to the turbulence of the warp. Now, with a high-level psyker suddenly at hand, Wang Ming wanted to see if Xin Jian could act as Navigator. If not, their Navigator would just have to endure a few more weeks of torment.

"I can give it a try. The principle is just finding a direction and sensing the currents in the warp. I may not have the Third Eye, but I can try using my psychic powers," Xin Jian replied hesitantly. He wasn’t too confident, but agreed to attempt it nonetheless.

"Something seems off," Xin Jian thought, looking at Wang Ming’s radiant smile. "Aren’t I supposed to be the Changer of Ways’ chosen? Why do I feel like I’m the one being played?"
