Chapter 77: The Choice Is Yours
Yu Qian followed the group into the abandoned factory, where she saw a young man of about twenty-six or twenty-seven sitting at a table.
Upon seeing him, Yu Qian’s face contorted with anger. “Gao Quan, where is my brother?”
The sight of that vile face made her feel sick to her stomach. She never expected that her former suitor would turn into such a shameless scoundrel.
Gao Quan popped a piece of food into his mouth, his gaze landing on Yu Qian with a mocking gleam. The woman before him was strikingly beautiful, her figure commanding and her delicate features enough to make any man’s heart burn with desire. The sight of her in professional attire only heightened the allure, lending her the seductive power of a uniform.
Gao Quan felt his lust ignite, his eyes involuntarily flickering with obscene intent. He had craved Yu Qian for years; today, she would finally be his.
Yu Qian sensed Gao Quan’s lecherous gaze and felt a surge of anxiety and disgust.
“Don’t worry, your brother is fine. He’s being well taken care of next door,” Gao Quan said with a smile.
As he finished speaking, a battered young man was dragged out, his clothes stained with blood.
Seeing her brother in such a miserable state, Yu Qian was furious. “Gao Quan, what’s the meaning of this? I agreed to your demands—why did you hurt my brother?”
As his only sister, seeing her brother beaten within an inch of his life tore at her heart. He was her only sibling.
Suddenly, gunshots rang out from somewhere near the factory.
Yu Qian jumped in fright at the sudden noise.
“Heh, there’s nothing to be afraid of. I merely got rid of those two irrelevant men,” Gao Quan said, chuckling.
He had no intention of letting the men Yu Qian brought along leave alive.
Upon hearing that Yang Fan and Wang Gang had been killed, Yu Qian’s face turned pale, and a powerful sense of dread seized her.
“What exactly do you want?” Yu Qian stared at Gao Quan, demanding loudly.
Gao Quan’s wicked smile deepened as his gaze lingered on Yu Qian’s beautiful face. “It’s simple. Sell me your shares in Yuanfu Catering Group.”
“As long as you release my brother, I’ll sell you every share I have,” Yu Qian confirmed.
Gao Quan grinned. “One more thing—you stay and spend the night with me.”
Now that Yu Qian was here, Gao Quan had no intention of letting her walk away. He had dreamed of having her beneath him for so long, but never had the chance. Now, with her delivered right to his door, he wouldn’t let the opportunity slip.
“You’re delusional!” Yu Qian shouted, trembling with rage.
The very idea made her recoil; she’d rather die than be defiled by this beast. Gao Quan’s lecherous gaze sickened her.
“Heh, if you want your brother dead, you can refuse,” Gao Quan sneered. “I heard he’s your only sibling. If he dies, how will you feel?”
He walked over to Yu Qian’s brother, running a knife back and forth across the young man’s face.
Yu Qian’s heart clenched at the sight, her eyes blazing with fury.
“Don’t worry about me, sis,” Yu Yang murmured, opening his eyes to look at his sister. His voice was weak, as if he were barely clinging to life.
Yu Qian trembled, pain etched in her eyes. How could she bear to watch her brother, her sole companion in life, killed before her eyes?
After a moment of internal struggle, she made her decision. “I accept your terms, but you must release my brother first.”
She had no other choice. She’d hoped Yang Fan would help rescue her brother, but Gao Quan’s men had killed him. To save her brother, she had to endure this humiliation.
“Hahaha, that’s more like it,” Gao Quan laughed triumphantly. “If you want your brother freed, you must sleep with me first.”
Yu Qian glared at Gao Quan, so furious she wanted to swallow him whole.
“I agree,” she said through gritted teeth.
“Excellent! Hurry over here,” Gao Quan laughed, excitement swelling inside him. The goddess he’d long dreamed of would finally be conquered by him today. He could barely contain his anticipation. Once so unattainable, now she would be beneath him—what a thrill.
Gao Quan’s mind reveled in his triumph.
“You don’t have to agree to his demands.”
Just then, a voice rang out.
“Who’s there?” Gao Quan started, quickly turning around.
Two figures appeared—it was Yang Fan and Wang Gang.
“Get them—kill them!” Gao Quan ordered his men.
At his command, the twelve bodyguards he brought surged toward Yang Fan.
“Bang! Bang! Bang...”
Before they could even draw their guns, Wang Gang shot them down one by one.
A former special forces soldier, Wang Gang’s aim was impeccable, and he dispatched them with ease.
Watching all his men gunned down, Gao Quan turned deathly pale, his legs trembling.
“I can give you money—just let me go,” Gao Quan pleaded, dropping to his knees and staring at Yang Fan in terror.
The tables had turned, and Gao Quan was now desperate.
“I have no need for your money,” Yang Fan replied coldly.
“I’ll do anything for you—work like a mule, anything—just let me live,” Gao Quan begged.
But Yang Fan ignored him, turning to Yu Qian. “You decide—cripple him, or kill him?”
Yu Qian hesitated, her gaze falling on Gao Quan, eyes blazing with hatred.
“Yu Qian, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have kidnapped your brother,” Gao Quan begged, knowing his life was in Yu Qian’s hands. “If you let me go, I swear I’ll never touch Yuanfu Catering Group again.”
Yu Qian showed no mercy, her voice cold. “I want him dead.”
Before her words even faded, a gunshot rang out. A bullet pierced Gao Quan’s forehead, ending his life instantly. Even in death, his face was frozen in fear.
Yang Fan gave Yu Qian a surprised look.
Clearly, Yu Qian’s hatred for Gao Quan ran deep.
“Wang Gang, take care of the body,” Yang Fan said, glancing at the corpse.
Yu Qian hurried to her brother’s side, her face filled with sorrow, tears streaming down her cheeks.
“I’m fine, sis,” Yu Yang managed a weak smile.
Yu Qian broke into a smile through her tears. “As long as you’re safe.”
She helped her brother up and approached Yang Fan, gratitude shining in her eyes. “Thank you.”
“It was nothing. Besides, I have my own reasons for coming,” Yang Fan shrugged.
Yu Qian smiled, saying nothing more.
Yang Fan had come for the crystal. Yu Qian had no qualms about that; the crystal meant nothing to her.
“Let’s leave here first,” Yang Fan said.
Yu Qian nodded, supporting her brother as they walked out.
After Wang Gang finished dealing with the corpse, he followed Yang Fan out.
Once they left, Yu Qian drove her brother to the hospital for treatment.
