Chapter 149: A Frenzied Punch
"What? You want to drive?" Tang Xin, who was currently behind the wheel, asked in shock upon hearing Yang Fan's abrupt request.
In their current predicament, this was extremely dangerous.
Since the car was speeding, switching drivers required coming to a complete stop.
Yet the moment they stopped, the vehicle tailing them would catch up, and they would be in serious trouble.
Without wasting words, Yang Fan unbuckled and moved from the back seat toward the front passenger side.
"Wait until we hit a straightaway, then let go and let me take over," Yang Fan said with a solemn expression.
"This is a terrible idea. It's too dangerous," Tang Xin protested, her heart pounding at the thought.
With the speedometer already hovering around a hundred, the prospect of swapping drivers mid-drive filled her with deep anxiety.
"Don't worry, nothing will happen," Yang Fan reassured her.
Tang Xin pushed her fear aside, focusing intently on driving until they reached a straight stretch.
Behind them, the pursuers' car was gradually closing the gap, the distance shrinking by the meter.
Glancing in the rearview mirror, Yang Fan noticed there were two men inside the chasing vehicle.
"Now! Hurry up!" As a straight stretch finally appeared, Tang Xin urged Yang Fan to take over.
Keeping one hand lightly on the steering wheel, she edged her body toward the passenger seat while Yang Fan maneuvered around from behind her.
Throughout the process, Tang Xin's heart was gripped by supreme tension.
With one hand on the steering wheel, Yang Fan took command.
As soon as she was settled in the passenger seat, Tang Xin quickly fastened her seatbelt, strapping herself tightly into place.
*Boom!*
Suddenly, the rear trunk was struck from behind, causing the entire car to shake violently and eliciting terrified shrieks from the two women inside.
Liu Jingjing grabbed the handrail tightly, her body rigid as her ample chest heaved up and down, threatening to burst free from her clothes.
Yang Fan slammed his foot all the way down on the accelerator. The engine roared, and the car instantly surged forward like a launched rocket.
"Harry, step on it! Run that punk over and avenge Flying Eagle!" a white man snarled fiercely, his eyes fixed on the red Ferrari ahead as he shouted.
"Heh, don't worry. My driving skills are no joke. Dealing with amateurs like this is a breeze," the black man named Harry replied with a wide grin, flashing a row of white teeth and exuding absolute confidence.
Staring at the speeding Ferrari ahead, a fanatical gleam lit up his eyes.
Pressing the accelerator to the floor, he pushed the car's speed even higher, rocketing after their target.
"Haha, this is thrilling! I haven't driven like this in ages, mostly because I never run into any competition," Harry laughed heartily, keeping his right foot dead on the accelerator with zero intention of slowing down.
Up ahead, Yang Fan was driving Tang Xin's Ferrari at an astonishing, hair-raising speed. The scenery outside blurred past the windows so fast it was impossible to make out individual shapes.
"Yang Fan, don't drive this fast! We're going to die!" Tang Xin screamed, clutching the door handle for dear life.
She was so terrified she was on the verge of tears.
How could she not be afraid?
When had she ever ridden in a car moving at such terrifying velocity?
Not even roller coasters were this frightening.
Even professional race car drivers probably didn't drive this fast; it was enough to scare someone out of their wits.
Furthermore, Tang Xin was just a young woman who had never encountered such a perilous situation.
"Yang Fan, I'm so scared! Can't you drive slower?" Liu Jingjing's face had gone pale, her nerves stretched to the absolute breaking point.
The car was moving so fast she felt as though her soul was about to detach from her body.
Yet, Yang Fan acted as if he heard nothing, remaining utterly focused on driving as he pushed the speed higher and higher, nearly reaching the vehicle's absolute limit.
Tang Xin closed her eyes and silently prayed, "Oh God, save me! I don't want to die yet. This lunatic is driving like a suicidal maniac!"
She didn't dare open her eyes because every time she looked ahead and saw objects rushing toward them at breakneck speed, terror gripped her heart, making it feel as though a crash was imminent.
At the speed Yang Fan was driving, an impact would certainly mean certain death.
"F*ck, this guy is driving like an absolute beast!" Harry cursed, a sliver of admiration mixing with his irritation for the lunatic ahead who refused to brake even for corners.
His competitive spirit was thoroughly ignited, and he pushed the accelerator down even further.
A short while later, an S-curve loomed ahead, yet Yang Fan showed no intention of reducing his speed.
Just as Tang Xin forced her eyes open and spotted the approaching bend, her face drained of all color. "Yang Fan, brake! That's an S-curve! If you don't slow down, we're going to die!"
Hearing Tang Xin's shriek, Liu Jingjing opened her eyes as well and let out a piercing scream.
Both women felt as though their hearts were about to leap out of their chests.
The curve was upon them in the blink of an eye.
Yang Fan eased off the accelerator only slightly, maintaining a dangerously high velocity.
"Help!" Tang Xin squeezed her eyes shut, too terrified to watch.
With laser-like focus, Yang Fan manipulated the steering wheel, executing a breathtaking sequential drift through the S-curve, guiding the car through the turn at maximum speed.
As they whipped through the bend, Tang Xin and Liu Jingjing were first thrown hard to the right, then violently whipped back to the left.
Had it not been for their seatbelts, both women would have been flung right out of the windows.
As they cleared the curve, Tang Xin snapped her eyes open and frantically patted her chest. "That scared me to death! I thought we were goners!"
"Yang Fan, you are so handsome!" Liu Jingjing cried out, her eyes shining with excitement.
"..." Tang Xin was utterly speechless at this brainless, busty woman.
She had been terrified out of her mind a second ago, and now she was already this thrilled and excited.
Suddenly, Tang Xin saw a large passenger bus blocking the road ahead, completely cutting off their path. "We're finished!"
Facing this blockade, Tang Xin's heart turned completely cold.
Stopping the car, Yang Fan instructed the two women, "Stay inside. Don't come out."
With that, he opened the door and stepped outside.
Unleashing his spiritual awareness, Yang Fan began scanning his surroundings.
Everything within a radius of two hundred meters fell under his mental surveillance.
Detecting no other ambushes nearby, Yang Fan felt a slight sense of relief, though he remained thoroughly vigilant against any sudden developments.
Spiritual energy surged wildly through his meridians as he circulated a cultivation technique. A faint golden glow enveloped his body, radiating an intimidating aura.
Fixating his gaze on the oncoming vehicle speeding toward him, Yang Fan's eyes flashed with fierce determination.
Planting his feet firmly, he channeled all his spiritual energy into his right fist, which began to emit a faint golden radiance carrying a razor-sharp momentum.
"Crush him!" Harry wore a cruel smile as he stomped his foot all the way down on the accelerator.
The car hurtled toward Yang Fan at maximum speed.
"Yang Fan, have you lost your mind?!" Liu Jingjing shrieked.
Unable to watch, she covered her eyes in terror, dreading the bloody scene about to unfold.
Fifty meters. Thirty meters. Twenty meters. Ten meters. The car barreled down on him relentlessly.
"Go to hell!" Harry screamed like a maniac.
Yang Fan's eyes blazed like lightning. Packing explosive power into his right fist, he smashed it directly down onto the oncoming car's hood.
*Boom!*
A thunderous explosion shook the surrounding air, and the ground itself trembled violently.
The entire front end of the car crumpled inward like paper, the rear of the vehicle lifting into the air until it stood almost vertically.
Meanwhile, Yang Fan stood his ground. The pavement beneath his feet cracked like spiderwebs and caved inward.
He had not moved back a single half-step; his feet seemed deeply rooted into the earth itself.
Carried by the immense momentum, the two men inside the car shattered the windshield and were flung violently out through the front.
Liu Jingjing and Tang Xin opened their eyes simultaneously, staring at the unbelievable sight before them in utter astonishment.
