Did you see everything?
A dark shadow stealthily slipped into the apartment and arrived at the target's door.
The figure was dressed entirely in black, with a masked face, obscuring all features.
Standing before the door, the intruder used a tool to pick the lock in silence.
As the door slowly swung open, a glass cup perched atop the frame fell and shattered into pieces, the sharp sound waking Tang Xin and Liu Jingjing inside.
As luck would have it, Tang Xin had been worried that Yang Fan might sneak into her room at night to commit some unspeakable act, so she had balanced a glass cup on the top edge of the door. The moment the door opened, the cup would inevitably fall.
The intruder had never anticipated such a trick and was completely unprepared to catch the falling glass.
"Who are you?" Tang Xin screamed in sheer terror upon seeing a masked intruder materialize in her room.
Her shriek instantly alerted the bodyguards patrolling the perimeter of the apartment building.
Without a word, the man in black lunged at Tang Xin, knocking her unconscious before she could let out a second cry.
As for Liu Jingjing, who stood frozen in fear on the side, the intruder ignored her completely, scooped Tang Xin up in his arms, and leaped out through the window.
Staring blankly at the scene unfolding before her, Liu Jingjing didn't even dare to draw a full breath, practically paralyzed by fright.
It wasn't until the intruders had vanished that she regained her composure.
Hastily throwing on some clothes, she bolted out of the room.
Outside, three black-clad figures could be seen darting back and forth, leading the bodyguards on a merry chase around the grounds.
Clearly, the primary objective of these accomplices was to draw the guards away.
Meanwhile, the operative who had snatched Tang Xin had already slipped away quietly.
Once clear of the apartment complex, the man in black carried Tang Xin over his shoulder, sprinting at full speed toward their destination.
Suddenly, a single figure materialized directly in his path, blocking his way forward.
The man in black frowned deeply, a flicker of apprehension flashing in his eyes.
Gazing at the young man standing before him, a profound and intense sense of crisis gripped his heart.
"Let her go." Fixing his gaze upon the intruder, Yang Fan spoke in a voice as cold as ice, his eyes gleaming like lightning.
His tone radiated a biting chill.
Without answering, the man in black charged forward with the unconscious Tang Xin still hoisted on his shoulder, a gleaming, razor-sharp dagger gripped in his hand.
Though burdened with a passenger, his speed seemed entirely unhindered.
"You're courting death." Yang Fan sneered as he watched the adversary launch a direct attack.
In less than two seconds, the intruder closed the distance. The dagger in his hand flashed with a cold, ruthless glint, slashing toward Yang Fan's vital points accompanied by a piercing whistle of displaced air.
With lightning speed, Yang Fan shot out a hand, seized the man's wrist, and twisted it with brutal force. The intruder's arm instantly gave way at an unnatural angle.
At this critical juncture, the man in black lashed out with a vicious kick.
Yang Fan met force with force, hurling his own leg upward without the slightest hesitation.
*Bang!*
Their legs collided mid-air, generating a powerful shockwave.
The man in black was hurled backward in a rapid retreat, nearly crashing to the ground.
Staring at Yang Fan, the intruder realized he had met a formidable match and dared not lower his guard.
Lowering Tang Xin gently to the ground, he once again lunged at Yang Fan with murderous intent.
"Foolish." Yang Fan let out a cold hum.
By putting Tang Xin down, the intruder had discarded his only leverage, effectively sealing his own death warrant.
The man in black moved with ferocious speed, generating a violent gust of wind as he sprinted forward with overwhelming momentum.
In the blink of an eye, he closed in on Yang Fan, his dagger slicing through the air toward various lethal targets.
With a swift side-step, Yang Fan evaded the assault and unleashed a lightning-fast kick straight into the intruder's abdomen. The tremendous force sent the man flying backward, accompanied by the distinct cracking sound of fracturing bones.
The man in black crashed to the ground, vomiting a mouthful of fresh blood.
This single blow had inflicted grievous injuries upon him.
Giving his opponent no breathing room, Yang Fan struck with overwhelming power, leaving only an afterimage in his original spot.
Before the intruder could mount a counterattack, a devastating blow landed squarely on his chest, sending his body airborne once more.
A phantom-like figure materialized directly before the flying man, and Yang Fan drove his palm forward, striking the center of the intruder's forehead.
The man in black was blasted backward, slamming onto the earth where he lay motionless, though the breath had not yet left his lungs.
Walking slowly toward the fallen figure, Yang Fan pressed one hand against the man's head, and a swirling devouring energy surged from his palm.
The expression of the man in black twisted instantly in agony, his eyes wide with utter terror.
In less than three seconds, the intruder was utterly dead, his eyes glazing over into a vacant stare.
"No useful information gained. These people don't know who their employer is." A trace of disappointment crossed Yang Fan's mind.
Using the Soul-Devouring Technique to harvest the dead man's memories had yielded nothing of substance, leaving Yang Fan feeling somewhat helpless.
It seemed the mastermind behind the attempts on Tang Xin exercised extreme caution.
Throwing a glance at the still-unconscious Tang Xin, Yang Fan stepped outside.
At this moment, Tang Xin's upper body was bare, with only a pair of white panties covering her lower half.
Suddenly, Yang Fan's expression shifted slightly.
He swept Tang Xin up into his arms and leaped sideways, his legs acting as if coiled with industrial springs as he vaulted over ten meters away.
At that exact microsecond, the sharp crack of a gunshot rang out, a bullet whistling past Yang Fan's ear.
With a surge of formidable aura, Yang Fan dashed rapidly while cradling Tang Xin, moving like a wraith through the night, leaving only fading blurs in his wake.
Three figures in black emerged, giving chase in the direction Yang Fan had vanished.
After pursuing him for over a hundred meters without catching sight of their target, they found he had vanished as cleanly as if he had evaporated into thin air.
"Our intelligence was flawed. There's a master here whose strength far exceeds ours," one of the men in black said with a grave expression. "Black Hawk didn't even survive a single move against him; we stand no chance. Let's fall back first."
The other two operatives nodded in agreement.
"Thinking of leaving? It's far too late."
Yang Fan manifested behind the trio like a ghost.
Their expressions changed instantly. Reacting with split-second reflexes, they whirled around and raised their weapons to fire.
*Bang, bang, bang...*
Gunshots shattered the profound silence of the night.
When the gunfire finally died away, Yang Fan was already standing directly before the three men.
By then, the three black-clad assassins stood rigidly in place, their pupils dilated and filled with boundless terror.
A stark, crimson line had appeared across each of their necks.
Without sparing them a second glance, Yang Fan turned and walked away.
*Splat!*
Blood spurted into the air as three severed heads tumbled onto the pavement.
Returning to Tang Xin's side, Yang Fan slipped off his outer jacket to wrap her exposed body before lifting her up and departing the scene.
In a hazy half-slumber, Tang Xin fluttered her eyes open and discovered she was being carried in Yang Fan's arms, prompting a piercing shriek.
"Ah—!"
"Shut your mouth."
Tang Xin instantly clamped her lips shut, gazing up at Yang Fan with fearful eyes. "What on earth happened?"
"Someone knocked you out and tried to abduct you. I rescued you," Yang Fan said indifferently.
Recalling the harrowing events prior to her blackout, Tang Xin found no reason to doubt him.
She remembered clearly being ambushed and losing consciousness after that.
"Where are those people?"
"Dead."
"Did you kill them?"
"What do you think?"
Looking at Yang Fan's aloof demeanor, a strange expression crept into Tang Xin's eyes, and she muttered inwardly, *Has this guy killed a lot of people? Why else would he sound so utterly nonchalant when talking about murder?*
She couldn't help feeling fortunate that Yang Fan had intervened tonight; otherwise, she shuddered to think what her fate might have been.
Suddenly, a thought struck her, and her face flushed crimson. "Did you... did you see everything?"
"Your breasts are too small, nothing worth looking at," Yang Fan replied flatly.
"......" Tang Xin suffered a critical hit, sustaining ten thousand points of emotional damage.
This detestable wretch had not only seen her completely naked but had also uttered such a dignity-crushing remark.
Tang Xin wanted nothing more than to take a bite out of Yang Fan, but fear held her back, and she didn't dare make a move.
