Chapter 128: Massacre
"Master, what are we going out to do this time?" Wang Gang asked, following behind Yang Fan.
"We are going out to kill someone," Yang Fan replied indifferently.
Since the Black Water Society had provoked him, they had to be wiped off the face of the earth.
Upon hearing that they were going to kill, Wang Gang felt a bit puzzled. In the city, it seemed that no one had offended Yang Fan.
"Master, what kind of people are we going to kill?" Wang Gang asked curiously.
If Yang Fan wanted to kill someone and brought him along, could it be that their targets were very powerful? In Wang Gang's heart, his master was an invincible existence; at least until now, he had never seen anyone more formidable than Yang Fan.
"The people we are killing this time are all gangsters." Yang Fan hailed a car and climbed inside. Wang Gang sat down beside him.
Learning that the targets were gangsters, Wang Gang felt a surge of excitement. If it were innocent people, he might have felt some resistance, though he would still obey if Yang Fan ordered it.
The two rode to the outskirts of the city and got out. As they stepped onto the ground, Huang Ma approached with a group of men.
"Mr. Yang, everyone is here." Huang Ma walked up to Yang Fan, his expression filled with awe. His impression of Yang Fan was defined by the latter's ruthlessness—a man who was cold-blooded and killed without blinking. Every time he met Yang Fan, Huang Ma felt as if he were standing next to a tiger, trembling with fear.
"Good. Lead the way." Yang Fan nodded, offering no further words.
Huang Ma nodded hurriedly and led Yang Fan and Wang Gang toward an abandoned factory. Five minutes later, they arrived near the building.
"Mr. Yang, the leader of the Black Water Society is named Zhang Biao, and all their men are inside the factory," Huang Ma explained. "Zhang Biao and his crew have guns; you must be careful."
Yang Fan waved his hand dismissively. "Have your Black Tiger gang members surround the outside. If anyone tries to leave, kill them without exception. No one is to be left alive."
With that, Yang Fan headed toward the factory with Wang Gang.
Watching their backs, Huang Ma felt a lingering hesitation. He didn't know if the two of them could really take down Zhang Biao and his men. After all, if Yang Fan could kill everyone from the Black Water Society, Huang Ma would be able to rule the city's underground world.
After ordering his men to lie in ambush, Huang Ma waited for the outcome.
As Yang Fan approached the factory, he could sense the presence of people inside, along with several hidden sentries. Yet, he felt no fear; his cultivation had reached the late stage of Qi Refining, just a step away from entering the Transcendent Realm. With his current strength, dealing with ordinary people was effortless, and even if they had guns, he was unfazed.
Upon entering the factory, he was met by a large crowd. At the front sat a middle-aged man with a sinister expression and a scar across his face. This was the leader of the Black Water Society, Zhang Biao.
"What's this? The Black Tiger gang only sent the two of you to die?" Zhang Biao sat with his legs crossed, looking at Yang Fan and Wang Gang with a mocking expression. "Did Huang Ma wet his pants and not dare to come? Hahaha..."
When Huang Ma had challenged him, Zhang Biao had been surprised; what right did Huang Ma have to fight him? He had brought his men to the agreed location, but instead of Huang Ma, he found only Yang Fan and Wang Gang.
"Hahaha, boss, I think that coward Huang Ma is scared out of his wits and sent these two to their deaths," a bald man laughed loudly. "You two are truly unlucky to follow a spineless boss like Huang Ma. How pathetic."
Yang Fan said nothing, instead observing his surroundings. He noticed that people were aiming guns at him from the shadows, ready to fire at the slightest movement.
"Don't look around. You aren't leaving this place today," Zhang Biao said with a look of feigned pity, staring at Yang Fan. "This will be your burial ground. Don't worry, I'll make it quick for you."
"This is your grave," Yang Fan replied calmly.
The moment he finished speaking, he left a blur of motion behind and darted in one direction. As Yang Fan moved, Wang Gang also sprang into action, charging toward Zhang Biao with his spiritual energy surging and a fierce aura.
*Bang!*
A gunshot rang out, but it missed Yang Fan. The hidden gunman was startled and quickly tried to aim again. However, Yang Fan’s movements were erratic; he shifted like a ghost, leaving no trajectory for the shooters to follow.
*Squelch.*
Yang Fan appeared before the gunman who had fired and slit his throat with a single motion. Having dealt with the first, he immediately charged at the next. His speed was so great that he was practically invisible. Gunshots rang out, but they soon fell silent. In less than a minute, every gunman had been executed by Yang Fan.
With the shooters eliminated, the massacre began. Wang Gang was surrounded by hundreds of men, yet he remained unharmed, as no one could get close to him. Around him, several bodies already lay on the ground, all killed by a single blow.
Seeing this, Zhang Biao felt his legs go weak. He looked at Yang Fan as if he were seeing a ghost.
A cruel smile curling his lips, Yang Fan channeled his techniques, unleashing a sharp, lethal aura as he lunged toward Zhang Biao. Yang Fan and Wang Gang were like the Grim Reaper, mercilessly harvesting lives. Screams echoed through the factory, the smell of blood filled the air, and the floor was drenched in crimson.
The battle ended quickly. The floor was littered with corpses; not a single soul remained alive.
After Yang Fan and Wang Gang left, Huang Ma led his men inside. Seeing the bloody scene, his scalp tingled, and he was filled with extreme terror.
"Hiss..." Huang Ma gasped, his face deathly pale. After this event, the label of "God of Slaughter" was indelibly branded onto Yang Fan in Huang Ma's heart. He ordered his men to burn the factory down and left with the Black Tiger gang.
Back at his residence, Yang Fan received a phone call from Liu Xuanhe of the Liu family in the city.
"Mr. Yang, there is a business opportunity. I wonder if you would be interested?" Liu Xuanhe’s voice came through the phone.
Yang Fan was puzzled that Liu Xuanhe would call him about business. "What kind of business?" he asked.
"A friend of mine in the capital needs a bodyguard for his beloved daughter. I think you are a perfect fit, and the pay is quite good," Liu Xuanhe chuckled. "I heard you started a security company, so I wanted to bring this opportunity to you."
"Just have someone from my company handle it," Yang Fan replied with a frown. "I don't take on bodyguard jobs."
He didn't care for such trivial matters. As a cultivator, acting as a bodyguard felt beneath him.
"My friend specifically needs someone capable to protect his daughter—a strong individual like yourself," Liu Xuanhe insisted. "And the conditions my friend has offered, Mr. Yang, will surely interest you."
"What are the conditions?" Yang Fan asked. Could they possibly offer him that much money?
