Chapter 125: Li Qiuya Asks for Help
"What is it?" Yang Fan asked, puzzled.
"Please, you have to come over and help me," Li Qiuya's voice came through the phone, sounding like a plea for help. Her voice was very low, as if she were afraid of being overheard.
Yang Fan frowned; he sensed that Li Qiuya seemed genuinely frightened. "What’s going on?" he asked.
"Oh, just come and help me get out of this situation. I want to leave, but I can't," Li Qiuya said, her voice laced with anxiety.
"I asked you to explain clearly what is happening. If it's something trivial, don't bother me; handle it yourself," Yang Fan said impatiently. Had it not been for the Earth Spirit Jade she had given him, he wouldn't have wanted to meddle in her affairs at all.
"You jerk, can't you speak to me nicely?" Li Qiuya complained.
"If you continue like this, I’m hanging up," Yang Fan said coldly.
"No, no, I'll tell you right now!" Hearing that Yang Fan was about to hang up, Li Qiuya panicked.
She proceeded to explain the situation. It turned out she was having dinner with a client, but the man insisted that she stay behind alone to keep him company while he drank. Li Qiuya immediately understood his true intentions. How could she possibly agree to such a thing? She had politely refused, but the man wouldn't take no for an answer, adamantly demanding she stay.
To make matters worse, this client was the primary investor for a movie she was about to start filming. If she offended him, her management agency would face heavy financial losses. Furthermore, the client had powerful connections and significant influence in Yuancheng; Li Qiuya dared not offend him lightly. In a desperate attempt to leave, she had claimed she had a boyfriend who was waiting for her to come home. The "boyfriend" she mentioned was Yang Fan. Of course, the client didn't believe her, as it was common knowledge that Li Qiuya didn't have a boyfriend. The client’s terms were simple: if she could get her boyfriend to come over, he would let her leave. Left with no other choice, she had called Yang Fan.
"Since when did I become your boyfriend?" Yang Fan felt annoyed after hearing her explanation.
"Oh, it was just an excuse! Please, just come and help me, or I won't be able to get out of here today," Li Qiuya said, on the verge of tears. "That guy is not someone to be trifled with, and he has many people with him. I can't even slip away."
"Fine, send me the address," Yang Fan agreed without further hesitation.
Once Yang Fan agreed, Li Qiuya finally breathed a sigh of relief and quickly texted him the address. Yang Fan hailed a taxi and headed over. Li Qiuya had reached out to him for two reasons: first, she knew Yang Fan was skilled and capable in a fight; second, she sensed that his background was far from ordinary.
After hanging up, Li Qiuya stepped out of the restroom. Two bodyguards in black suits were waiting outside to ensure she didn't try to sneak away. "Ms. Li Qiuya, our boss has been waiting for a long time. Please, come back," one of the bodyguards said, his tone firm.
Li Qiuya forced a stiff smile and walked back toward the private room.
"Ms. Li Qiuya, that took quite a while. You really made me wait," a middle-aged man with a stout build said, sitting on a leather sofa with his legs crossed. "Come, sit next to me, and let's have a proper chat."
The man was Qian Fu, a real estate tycoon and a very wealthy, well-known figure in Yuancheng. His eyes roamed over Li Qiuya's curvaceous body, unable to hide his lecherous gaze.
"Hehe, Boss Qian, I think I'll sit here instead. My boyfriend will be here soon, and it wouldn't be good if he saw us," Li Qiuya said apologetically.
Qian Fu’s mouth curled into a sneer. *So what if you have a boyfriend? Soon enough, you’ll be crying out for me in my bed,* he thought. He didn't believe her for a second. He had already checked with her agent, who confirmed she had no boyfriend; it was clearly just an excuse.
"Since Ms. Li Qiuya is in a difficult spot, I shall be understanding," Qian Fu said with a hypocritical smile.
"Thank you for your understanding, Boss Qian," Li Qiuya replied with a polite smile.
"Come, let's toast to Boss Qian, and thank him for investing in our film," a middle-aged man said, beaming as he raised his glass, shooting a look at Li Qiuya. This was Liu Gao, the head of Li Qiuya’s management company.
Li Qiuya felt distressed; she didn't drink alcohol. "Boss Qian, I really don't drink. Please allow me to substitute with tea," she said apologetically.
"Ms. Li Qiuya, are you looking down on me?" Qian Fu asked, his expression darkening.
"Boss Qian, I really cannot drink," Li Qiuya said, looking troubled.
"From the sound of it, you don't want to give me any face?" Qian Fu said coldly. "I'm not asking you to drink a lot, just a little. Surely you can grant me that much?"
"Li Qiuya, just have a little bit, it won't be too much," Liu Gao urged.
"Alright then, just a little," Li Qiuya said, nodding reluctantly as she picked up the glass. She took a tiny sip and set the glass down.
Even after that small sip, Li Qiuya began to cough, her cheeks flushing red. She was very sensitive to strong liquor and never drank it. If Qian Fu hadn't been such an important client, she wouldn't have touched it at all. Seeing her drink, a satisfied smile spread across Qian Fu's face.
"Come, everyone, eat," Liu Gao said, pouring Qian Fu another drink before picking up his chopsticks.
Suddenly, Li Qiuya felt dizzy, and an overwhelming wave of sleepiness washed over her. "Boss Qian, I'm not feeling well. I need to leave," she said, clutching her forehead as she stood up, swaying as if she might collapse. She tried to stand but sank back down, feeling her strength drain away.
"Li Qiuya, you're not feeling well, so just rest here for a moment. I'll have someone take you home later," Liu Gao said before getting up and leaving the room.
Only Qian Fu and Li Qiuya remained in the private room. Li Qiuya’s hands began to move involuntarily over her own body, as if she wanted to undo her clothes. A strange, burning desire began to consume her.
"Hehe, what a big star. Putting on airs in front of me, only to end up under my control," Qian Fu said, looking at the dazed and disoriented Li Qiuya with a lecherous grin. He had drugged her drink. He had used this tactic many times before; it was exactly how he had "conquered" a famous movie star in the past, who eventually became his mistress. He had been coveting Li Qiuya for a long time, and the thought of breaking this national icon brought him immense excitement.
"What are you doing? Let go!" Li Qiuya still had a sliver of consciousness; she felt his touch and tried to resist, but she had no strength left. Her body felt limp, and even lifting her arm was a struggle.
"Hehe, don't worry, I'll take good care of you." Qian Fu rubbed his hands together and helped Li Qiuya lie down on the sofa.
"Who are you?"
Just as Qian Fu was about to take off his coat, the bodyguards outside the door blocked a young man who was trying to enter.
