Chapter 163: Hahaha, wishing good people a safe and peaceful life!
Ming Dai was somewhat disappointed; she had actually hoped that Ma Yinglong would have had a bit more backbone, which would have made terrifying him much more entertaining.
She had Zhou Sinian perform a series of exercises on the three men, striking their acupoints and dislocating and reassembling their joints, after which she practiced her acupuncture techniques.
Feeling satisfied, she instructed Zhou Sinian to strip the three men completely bare and place them out in the courtyard.
Fearing they might catch a chill, Ming Dai considerately covered them with a layer of pig manure.
Once everything was settled, the two of them opened the front gate and left, carefully omitting to latch it shut.
Early the next morning, as the neighborhood aunties and sisters went out to buy groceries, they passed by the Ma residence and felt a sense of puzzlement.
Why were the members of the Ma family up so early, yet leaving their front gate wide open?
Driven by curiosity, the auntie from the neighboring courtyard walked up closer to take a look.
"Ah! Indecent exposure!"
The piercing cry of "Indecent exposure!" roused the surrounding neighbors. Brandishing their rice bowls and with toothbrushes stuck in their mouths, everyone rushed toward the Ma house.
Down at the end of the alley, the Revolutionary Committee personnel, who had spent a grueling night without catching a single rule-breaker, were overjoyed upon hearing about a public indecency case and hurried toward the source of the commotion.
Upon arrival, however, they realized something was amiss.
Wasn't that front gate, now surrounded three layers deep by onlookers, the home of their very own Director Ma?!
"Move aside, move aside! Let us through!"
The two officials forcefully parted the crowd and squeezed inside, only to discover three stark-white figures lying right in the middle of a pile of pig manure, directly facing the main entrance.
Despite being covered head-to-toe in pig manure, the officials still recognized that the palest one in the very middle was none other than their director!
The two hurriedly dispersed the crowd and pulled the front gate shut.
Unfortunately, it was already too late; everything that should and should not have been seen had been witnessed by the surrounding neighbors.
When Ma Yinglong was finally jolted awake, his first sensation was profound exhaustion.
His second sensation was a sore, aching lower back, as if it had been overworked.
Immediately following was his third sensation: pain all over his body. Every single part hurt, and nothing felt right!
He sat up in a daze and couldn't help shivering involuntarily. Just as he reached to pull up the blanket, he realized the texture beneath him was all wrong!
The smell surrounding him was wrong, too!
The terrifying memories from his dream came flooding back!
Tremblingly, he opened his eyes, only to meet the concerned yet averted gazes of his subordinates.
Taking a deep breath, he looked around and discovered that both he and his son were lying completely naked inside a pile of pig manure!
With a sharp crack, Ma Yinglong was so infuriated that he tumbled backward, plunging once again straight into the pile of pig manure behind him, almost getting buried alive!
His subordinates scrambled to pull him up, but because the pig manure was far too slick, not only did they fail to lift him, but they ended up slipping and face-planting right on top of him!
With a muffled groan, Ma Yinglong was knocked awake again, feeling as though his chest was about to shatter.
And indeed, it practically was; the wild boar bride had been in a foul temper yesterday and had exerted a bit too much force.
He lowered his head to look at his chest and saw large, mottled bruises covering his skin. The bruising around his chest area was especially dense, marked by plum-blossom-like impressions that unmistakably looked like they had been stamped by a pig's trotters!
Combining this with his body's abnormalities, Ma Yinglong drew in a sharp breath of cold air and looked downward.
The matted, tangled wild boar hair made him confront the reality of the situation entirely.
He, Ma Yinglong, a man as staunch as steel, had actually been violated by a wild boar spirit!
Sob, sob, sob!
His subordinates watched in horror as Director Ma—who was normally stern, unsmiling, and looked down on everyone—was now weeping like an innocent maiden who had just been violated.
Eventually, it was the woman of the house, awakened by the commotion, who rescued the three of them and supported their journey back inside to their rooms.
His family wanted to call the police and summon a doctor, but all these suggestions were rejected by the feverish Ma Yinglong!
He had already suffered enough humiliation; he could not afford to lose any more face!
However, while he could endure it, his sons certainly could not, and they secretly instructed their wives to fetch a doctor.
Damn it, it hurt too much! Sob!
Supported by others, Ma Yinglong walked into the house in a daze.
As soon as he crossed the threshold, he was startled once again by something that had suddenly appeared on the floor!
Written across the floor of the main room in pig manure were several large characters: Where are the items?
A chill ran down Ma Yinglong's spine, as he realized the wild boar spirit had come after the treasures from the mountain!
Crack!
He fainted yet again, and the Ma household descended into complete chaos.
The utter turmoil in the Ma family did not affect Ming Dai and Zhou Sinian in the slightest.
While Zhou Sinian was busy bonding with the newly joined animals in his spatial dimension, Ming Dai was sitting inside the examination hall, ready to take her test.
During the exam, she even ran into an old acquaintance—Secretary Cheng Xu. He was serving as one of the proctors today, as the county party secretary was apparently away at the county seat reporting on work.
This examination was organized by the county hospital with the goal of selecting suitable barefoot doctors to be dispatched to production brigades. Alongside treating illnesses, these doctors would also be responsible for promoting health and hygiene knowledge, operating under a part-farming, part-medical nature.
Consequently, the crowd of examinees was quite eclectic: some came from medical lineages like Ming Dai, others had undergone emergency training at the communes, and the remainder were self-taught.
There were men and women, young and old alike.
Nonetheless, Ming Dai remained the youngest among them. With her youthful complexion, she looked less like an examinee and more like someone accompanying a candidate.
However, those who looked down upon her were soon proven wrong.
Once the test papers were handed out—consisting of a single thin sheet printed only on the front—Ming Dai glanced over it and felt utterly unpressured.
After a brief flurry of writing, while others were still biting their pen tips and racking their brains in deep thought, she had already stood up to submit her paper.
The papers were graded on the spot, and the examiner in charge was a kind-looking middle-aged female doctor.
Seeing Ming Dai hand in her paper so early, the doctor initially assumed she had given up. To her surprise, upon taking the paper and reviewing it, every single answer was completely correct!
She looked at Ming Dai with admiration; this truly was prime material for studying medicine.
In the medical field, nothing surpassed a solid foundation. For Ming Dai to get every question right while hitting every key point precisely was extraordinarily rare—something even average practicing doctors struggled to achieve.
After showing the paper to two other doctors, the female doctor placed a checkmark next to Ming Dai's name, signaling that she had passed and instructing her to return in the afternoon for the practical examination.
Ming Dai smiled, expressed her gratitude, and stepped outside.
Shortly afterward, Secretary Cheng emerged as well and stepped forward to offer her a smiling congratulation.
"Comrade Ming Zhiqing, truly outstanding! A perfect score. Doctor Gao said she hasn't seen such a brilliant prospect in a very long time."
Ming Dai smiled modestly. "It was sheer luck. As it happened, I had seen every single question before."
Cheng Xu shook his head. "Doctor Gao is the vice president of our county hospital. There are hardly anyone whom she deigns to praise as good prospects. Comrade Ming Zhiqing, if you perform well, Doctor Gao might even take you on as an apprentice!"
Ming Dai merely chuckled and brushed the comment aside, refusing to take the bait.
Leaving aside the fact that she had no intention of taking a master, even if she did, who would be the master and who the disciple was far from settled!
Before the two could exchange pleasantries, someone came running in from outside and whispered something to Cheng Xu. Secretary Cheng's expression turned exceedingly peculiar. Offering Ming Dai an apology, he hurried away in tow.
Ming Dai faintly caught the name Ma Yinglong; it seemed his situation had been discovered.
And of course it was discovered—Ming Dai had intentionally left the gate wide open precisely so the neighboring residents would find him.
She believed that before long, the news about Director Ma's family, much like Wang Youcai's family, would sweep through the entire county. Let's see if Ma Yinglong would still have the audacity to lord over the county after this!
Ma Yinglong indeed had no face left. After waking up and chasing away his subordinates and the doctor, he locked himself inside the main room, staring at the pig-manure characters on the floor while trembling in a daze.
At that moment, every single one of his beliefs had collapsed, leaving behind only terror and regret.
Terrified that he might do something drastic, his subordinates and family had gone to fetch the county leadership.
When Cheng Xu arrived, Ma Yinglong remained blank and unresponsive.
Along the way, Cheng Xu had already found out what the expressionless Director Ma had experienced the previous night.
Seeing that Ma Yinglong refused to speak, Cheng Xu sighed, muttered a brief "take care of yourself," and departed.
The fragile facade of composure Ma Yinglong had maintained was completely shattered by those words of farewell. The moment Cheng Xu stepped out the door, the sounds of shattered cups and curses directed at his family for meddling echoed from within the room.
Outside the threshold, Cheng Xu curled the corners of his lips. He had despised that old bastard for a long time; finally, some kind soul had put him in his place!
Hahaha, may good people be blessed with peace throughout their lives!
