How are you talking to Mingdai?!
On the highway leading from the commune to Liujiawan, three tractors chugged forward, spewing thick black smoke.
Han Guoda sat on the lead tractor, turned around to look behind him, and seeing no one following, let out a massive sigh of relief.
"Damn it! I got tangled up with a madman! What rotten luck!"
The tractor driver beside him asked while steering, "Captain, are we really going? Didn't Director Wang say not to let us go? Should we turn back?"
Han Guoda glared at him. "If you're not afraid of getting a beating, go ahead and turn back."
The tractor driver instantly shut his mouth.
Another lackey looked at the half-dead Wang Defa in his arms and asked the captain, "Captain, what should we do with him?"
Han Guoda glanced at the commune director's son, who was already spitting bloody bubbles, and felt a severe headache coming on.
"What do I do?! How the hell should I know what to do?!"
He irritatedly scratched his head. "Er Dan! Get off the tractor and go to the commune to find Director Wang. Tell him—remember, tell him—that we were forced by a madman to drive to Liujiawan, and that his son was beaten up by the madman again and dragged back to Liujiawan!"
"Got it!"
Someone quickly climbed down from the tractor and ran back the way they came.
Watching the person scamper off, Han Guoda's tightened heart finally settled.
With his son beaten to this extent, Director Wang couldn't possibly ignore it; all he had to do was wait at Liujiawan.
However, he had ultimately underestimated the situation.
Before long, wailing cries echoed from behind, so loud that they drowned out the chugging noise of the three tractors.
Han Guoda turned around and saw that Er Dan, the one who had just run off to the commune with the message, was now running back while crying, moving so fast it was as if a pack of wolves were chasing him.
Looking closely, it was even worse than wolves!
Zhou Sinian was riding his bicycle with one hand while waving a tree branch with the other, driving Er Dan forward. Whenever Er Dan ran too slowly, *swish*, a whip of the branch would lash down, making Er Dan grab his buttocks and howl like a child.
Seeing that they were about to catch up, Han Guoda trembled and shouted, "Quick, quick, quick! Drive faster! Drive faster!"
Thus, a miraculous scene unfolded on the road.
Three tractors sped frantically in front, spewing chugging black smoke, while a bicycle behind chased so hard its pedals seemed to spark. In the middle ran a tall man whose legs blurred into afterimages, weeping and wailing as if his life depended on it.
Whenever he dared to slow down, the little tree branch would *crack* across his back, and his speed would instantly shoot right back up!
Finally, halfway through the run, Er Dan's stamina completely bottomed out. He crashed face-first onto the ground, howling miserably, feeling utterly wronged.
Zhou Sinian supported his bicycle with one leg, waved the small tree branch, and lashed him twice more, making Er Dan roll around on the dirt, refusing to get up and run another step.
Er Dan: "Ah, ah, ah! I can't run anymore! I really can't run anymore! Even if you beat me to death, I can't run anymore!!"
Ming Dai saw that he had truly reached his limit and tugged on Zhou Sinian's clothes. "Take him along. Catch up to the front tractor and toss him on."
Zhou Sinian nodded, propped himself up on his toes, and rode the bike over. He grabbed the man by the back of his collar, hoisted him up vertically, straddled his legs across the handlebars, and pushed his head down so his upper body hung suspended in mid-air over the center of the bar.
"Don't raise your head, or I'll hit you!"
Poor Er Dan had his crotch wedged against the crossbar, his upper body jutting out over the front of the bike, maintaining his balance entirely by pressing his chest against the handlebars—an extremely awkward position!
And that wasn't even the worst part. To catch up to the tractors ahead, Zhou Sinian rode at breakneck speed. Not only did the wind slap mercilessly against his face, but the bicycle also bounced up and down incessantly due to the rough road.
Er Dan gritted his teeth and wept silently—his balls hurt too much!
With much difficulty, they finally caught up to the leading tractor. Without even slowing down, Zhou Sinian hoisted the man up and threw the grown male body forward, right onto the bed of the tractor.
The people sitting on the outside saw a flying object approaching, quickly reached out to catch it, and upon holding it tight, realized it was none other than Er Dan, who had just been sent off to deliver a message.
Er Dan sat there, tears streaming down his face, clutching his lower region, in too much pain to utter a single word.
From that day on, Er Dan became known as Niu Dan!
The bicycle pulled up alongside the first tractor. Han Guoda was extremely nervous, the entire cab crowded tight with people who didn't dare make a peep.
Zhou Sinian slowed his pace, riding along while observing the black-smoke-spewing tractor.
Although the exhaust smelled terrible, it actually seemed quite fun.
The villagers of Liujiawan were hard at work plowing the fields when suddenly, they heard a familiar chugging sound echoing in the distance.
At the edge of the field, Liu Dachuan looked up, gazing toward the direction of the main road.
"Guoqiang, your eyesight is good. Take a look, is that a tractor coming?!"
Liu Guoqiang squinted into the distance, where a neat line of three plumes of black smoke was approaching.
"Yes, yes, yes! There are three smoke rings! Three of them, Dajiang, three tractors are coming!"
Liu Dachuan excitedly ran toward the main road. The people working in the fields also heard the chugging sound by now, and all of them straightened their backs, staring intently at the highway.
The three tractors turned off the highway and headed toward the farmland of Liujiawan.
"Tractors! So many tractors!"
The children were the first to get excited, running like the wind toward the tractors alongside the brigade leader.
The rest of the adults could no longer suppress their excitement either, rushing toward the edge of the fields.
Before long, the three big iron beasts ground to a halt at the field's edge, instantly surrounded by a tight ring of villagers.
Spotting Zhou Sinian just as he dismounted his bicycle, the children cheered excitedly, "Big Brother! Big Brother! Big Brother!"
Annoyed by the noise, Ming Dai retreated to the brigade leader's side to inspect the tractors.
On the tractor, Han Guoda let out a breath of relief when he saw Liu Dachuan.
He was just about to step forward to interrogate him, but unfortunately, Liu Dachuan and Liu Qingmin gave him zero opportunity to do so.
The two men strode forward together, grabbed his hands, and expressed their gratitude with eyes brimming with tears.
"It really has to be our Captain Han!
Normally, nobody dares to defy the commune director's orders to come plow the fields for our village! Only you, Captain Han, have the guts to do it!
You and the comrades from the agricultural machinery team can rest easy. Work hard today, and tonight there will be wine and meat—we won't treat you poorly. As for where you'll stay, don't worry, we've arranged everything perfectly for you!"
????
Han Guoda was utterly stunned by their shamelessness!
To think he used to believe Liu Dachuan was an honest, simple man, only to find out he was just as black-hearted as the rest of them!
Who the hell dared to go head-to-head with the commune director?!
Who the hell came here voluntarily?!
And what's this about lodging already arranged? Were they planning to detain them and refuse to let them leave until the work was finished?!
Han Guoda was so angry he laughed. He pointed at the two men, speechless for a long time, until his eyes finally landed on Ming Dai.
He didn't dare curse out the madman, but surely he could yell at a little girl, right?!
"Liu Dachuan, cut the act with me! Wasn't it you who sent this little girl to bring that lunatic to the machinery station to cause trouble?!
Don't get too smug just yet, just wait and see. They beat Wang Defa into a pig-like pulp and even broke his leg!
You think Director Wang is going to let you off the hook?!"
Ming Dai quietly chimed in, "We didn't touch him. You saw wrong."
She had instructed Zhou Sinian beforehand—he only dislocated the joints to terrify him, without actually snapping any bones. When they tossed him onto the tractor earlier, Zhou Sinian had already popped the joints back into place, so the guy was definitely fine by now.
Interrupting his tirade while he was boiling with anger, Han Guoda spun around and roared, "When I'm talking, is there any room for you to chime in?!"
Before Ming Dai could even say a word, a resounding slap smacked fiercely across Han Guoda's face.
"Who do you think you're talking to like that?!"
