Some dust-covered memories surged continuously. In a daze, she felt as if she had opened a door, inside of which were nothing but sketches of herself, while a young man slowly walked out from beyond the threshold, smiling at her.
She grew increasingly fond of Madame Lian, and looking at Qian Jinghua, who wore an equally somber expression, she couldn't help but feel a flicker of pity.
Last time, word spread that Lady Mu had vomited blood out of anger while treating Madame Peng, though it was later rumored that Lady Mu had done so intentionally.
Similarly, he was greatly astonished to see people slumped all over the floor inside. What was happening here? Why had everyone in the reception room suddenly entered a state of meditation?
With Feng Jingang absent, Feng Zhongshan, the only other ninth-rank member of the Feng family, naturally assumed supreme command of the Guardian warrior forces. His first order was to set the city fortress's energy shield to maximum and prepare all annihilation cannons for the coming battle.
"Forget the 'buts.' Just answer me: when you said you wanted to follow me, were you being sincere?" I interrupted Wang Ping directly.
"If only it were you." Why did her target for conquest have to be Ji Ming? If only it had been Ye Bei, how wonderful that would have been.
"Where is my sister?" Mosquito asked me, his face full of anticipation. Not just him, but those two animals, Lu Fan and Song Ming, were also staring at me with wide eyes.
Since receiving her rank, she had avoided direct encounters with Mu Yun, simply because she did not want to bow to Mu Yu.
Indeed, having been away for so long, there wasn't a stir in the house—not even a mouse. Thinking of it, she felt both relieved and pathetic.
Her fair fingers gripped the quilt tightly, as if to conceal the jarring marks left on her body by that man.
Zhang Yurou thought to herself, if she didn't lend Li Shimin a helping hand at this moment, was she really going to let him go and seek assistance from Qinghua Yuanjun, the teacher of Changsun Wugou?

For these people, it was the simplest of tasks. Mo Yufei’s original goal had been to strike through Tian Yao, causing Mo Jingli to lose his fighting spirit.
She had been waiting for these very words from Xu Fan. As for the Blade and Axe Gang or anything of the sort, she didn't care at all. At the very least, in her eyes, the Xu Fan before her was a kind person, someone she could trust.
The calm and indifferent words stirred massive waves in his mind. He subconsciously raised his head and met Bai Jie’s smiling gaze, which was filled with confidence.
"What do you mean, 'not good enough'? If you aren't convinced, why don't you compare yourself to me?" The skeleton man grinned, revealing sinister teeth.
Mu An couldn't help but find it amusing; Wang Hai-sheng did not understand what her true needs were. It was only natural that she would refuse such a proposal.
Fu Qingyun had just returned to the Fu residence and was about to complain to the old master when she received news that Fu Yan had gone missing.
In the side hall, Li Shimin watched Xi Liang while calmly pouring himself a drink, unmoved by the noisy clamor surrounding him.
When it came to pets, the zombies grew excited. They all ran up to Zhang Zhang, surrounding him and asking what the new pet was.
The shopkeeper had only met her twice: once when she was dressed in an old woman’s clothes, looking like a total bumpkin, and once today, when she had fainted from poison and was carried into the building by Rui Tianling.
If, during the ancient catastrophe, the Immortal Spirit Realm had an Immortal Lord to preside over the big picture, the realm would never have ended up in its current state.
Fu Yunting appeared calm on the surface, but in reality, he was in extreme discomfort. Merely holding his spear was enough to make him break into a cold sweat, yet he could not let anyone see his struggle. He maintained a breezy, indifferent air, even though his throat was burning—the very thing he shouldn't be using, yet he had raised his voice, causing it to feel as if it were on fire.
The plate of shredded pork with garlic sauce before him looked nearly perfect, making one want to taste it immediately.

If they weren't truly a match made in heaven, even Qian Yeming would have believed and envied them; he would surely have exploded—what right did they have to snatch away his only sister?
She was not moved by their love. She had seen the most beautiful love in Lu Jinnian and Qiao Anhao—a youthful secret crush, culminating in a lifelong commitment. Just watching them made one feel warm and happy.
The Serpent Goddess stood frozen, watching him vanish before her eyes. She hadn't even answered, so why had the Demon Emperor left? She had gone to such lengths to invite the Demon Emperor, hoping he might stay this time, but he had left regardless. He had left.
With no reaction, Mu Xiaoxiao simply sat on the ground, facing the boundless sea.
"As long as you dare to harm her, I will absolutely cripple Chen Wusong!" Ling Chen said, acting decisively as he plunged a knife into Chen Wusong’s other thigh, sending blood splattering everywhere.
After obtaining the location of the Demon Capital headquarters from Qiu Dan, Ling Yi, Ling Lei, and Young Master Qingrou hurried away. As for Qiu Dan, he was no longer under Ling Yi’s concern.
The man in the black robe had regained consciousness and was looking at Su Li in some terror. "You... you actually tied me up?" He struggled to break free, but since one end of the rope was held by Yu Lian, how could he possibly escape so easily?
"Ling Chen? It’s him?" Sun Xing felt a deep shock. He had originally thought Ling Chen was just a gambling expert; he never expected him to have ties to Li Zhongtian! What kind of relationship could it be that would make Li Zhongtian, currently at the center of a storm, return from abroad specifically to stand up for him?
"Yuanshan, don't touch him, you'll harm him!" Old Master Ling rushed into the room, stopping Ling Yuanshan’s movements. Hearing the old master, Ling Yuanshan stopped immediately, terrified of costing Lin Yi his life.
