Chen Hao’s words infuriated the white-bearded old man, who stormed forward in anger and slapped Chen Hao several times with loud, sharp blows that left him dizzy. After finishing, the old man sternly warned, “Listen carefully, boy. The god of fortune has chosen you; from now on, luck will follow you relentlessly. When good fortune arrives, even heaven cannot stop it. But I hope you carry yourself like a real man, upholding the dignity of manhood. Otherwise, I will strip you of your manhood, cut off your balls, and then you’ll be forced to squat like a woman when you urinate.” With that, the old man waved his hand, and a golden light shot into Chen Hao’s third-eye point. Chen Hao felt his blood surge and his body grow light as if filled with boundless power. The old man continued, “You have been reborn, but first, you must straighten your back.” He paused, then shouted angrily, “Get lost! Don’t ever let me see you again.” As he finished speaking, the old man kicked Chen Hao, sending him flying. Chen Hao opened his eyes to find himself still alive; the previous experience felt like a dream. He glanced at the terrified expressions of the Zhao family and found it amusing—did they really think he was dead? Now that he suddenly woke up, were they the ones frightened? Deciding to give them a shock, Chen Hao suddenly shouted and leapt up from the ground. Zhao Yali screamed in fright, “You scared me to death, you bastard! What do you want?” Chen Hao ignored Wang Su and stepped in front of Zhao Yali, locking eyes with her and demanding, “The 200,000 I gave you before my trip was for my mother’s hospital fees. You didn’t pay it—where did the money go?” Zhao Yali, seeing the terrifying look on Chen Hao’s face, suddenly felt a dire premonition—as if the man before her had become someone else entirely. She turned pale and stammered, “I... I spent it elsewhere, I...” Chen Hao cut her off, “Spent it where? Explain clearly.” Wang Su interjected, “I’ll tell you. The money was used to buy a car for Haizhou. So what? That dead woman isn’t even your real mother. She’s dead, so what do you want...” Chen Hao’s fury flared; before Wang Su could finish, he slapped her hard. With a sharp smack, Wang Su collapsed onto the sofa. Chen Hao continued, pointing at Wang Su with seething anger, “You vile woman, you’re not even worthy of holding my mother’s shoes. She may be my adoptive mother, but she raised me with her own hands and put me through university. She’s closer to me than any biological mother. And you people—these past three years, you’ve only sucked my blood and leached off me, never showing gratitude. You’re worse than animals.”

Chen Hao’s voice brimmed with uncontrollable hatred as he loudly scolded the Zhao family, “You parasites—I’ve had enough. Spending my money while bossing me around, humiliating me in every way. From today on, I have nothing to do with any of you. I will reclaim that money through legal channels.” Wang Su covered her face, furious and shouting, “You bastard, how dare you hit me? I’ll fight you to the death!” She rose to retaliate, but Chen Hao was quicker, slapping her again and knocking her to the ground once more. Chen Hao stared at her coldly, a resolute glint in his eyes. Wang Su was stunned; she had never seen this side of Chen Hao before. The timid pushover had suddenly transformed, daring to resist the Zhao family. Zhao Yali could never have guessed that Chen Hao—the former “bootlicker”—would change so drastically. She pointed at him, cursing, “How dare you treat my mother this way? You’re defying the heavens.” She raised her hand to slap him, accustomed over the past three years to Chen Hao never fighting back, only enduring insults quietly. But before her hand could fall, Chen Hao struck first, slapping her so hard she was stunned. Zhao Yali stood frozen, clutching her burning cheek, timidly staring at Chen Hao. She never expected the usually gentle and considerate Chen Hao to become unrecognizable. Expressionless, Chen Hao turned and pointed at Zhao Haizhou, saying, “You’re the one who kicked me just now, right?” Before Zhao Haizhou could reply, Chen Hao kicked him in the stomach. Zhao Haizhou crumpled in pain, clutching his belly and groaning on the floor. Zhou Shao stood up and yelled at Chen Hao, “Idiot! How dare you hit the Zhao family? You’re asking for death.” “Who’s asking for death?” Chen Hao retorted, then kicked out again. Zhou Shao doubled over, cursing as he knelt, “You poor bastard, how dare you hit me...” “So what if I hit you? Do I have to pick a special day for it?” Chen Hao said, launching another kick that forced Zhou Shao to lie down. The Zhao family was stunned by this sudden turn of events. Chen Hao’s cold gaze swept over every one of them, his tone firm: “I’m no longer a pawn you can manipulate at will. From now on, don’t expect to get anything from me, Chen Hao. Anyone who disrespects me will be dealt with by my fists.” The Zhao family exchanged looks, and fear flickered in Zhao Yali’s eyes. She finally realized that the obedient Chen Hao was gone. He had learned the true meaning of the saying, “Even a cornered rabbit will bite.” Chen Hao pulled out his phone to call the police. Seeing this, the Zhao family rushed forward to stop him. Wang Su threatened, “If you dare call the police, the Zhao family won’t let you off.”

Chen Hao retorted sharply, “You rotten Zhao family are worth nothing in my eyes. You scammed 200,000 together—go ahead and get stuffed in jail.” “Chen Hao, wait,” Zhao Yali pleaded, trying to steady him, “Chen Hao, we can talk this through.” Chen Hao stopped and looked back at the panicked Zhao Yali, replying coldly, “Talk? When have you ever respected me? This was my mother’s life-saving money, and you used it without my permission. Not only is this fraud, it borders on murder. I won’t let you get away with it.” Zhao Yali hurried to explain, “It’s not like that. Haizhou recently got a new girlfriend, and she wanted him to have a car, so...” “So you don’t care if my mother lives or dies? What business is your brother’s car purchase to me?” Chen Hao’s eyes were like ice as he cut her off, his tone icy, “No matter the reason, it doesn’t erase your crimes. You won’t escape the law’s punishment.” The Zhao family’s faces turned pale; they never expected Chen Hao to become so merciless. Zhao Yali said, “Fine, we’ll repay the money.” Chen Hao opened his phone’s payment code and said, “Pay up.” Zhao Yali shook her head, “I don’t have that kind of money right now.” Chen Hao knew well she had no money, but now he was penniless, unemployed, and kicked out by the Zhao family. He was left to beg and sleep under bridges. He walked up to Zhou Shao and said, “Young Master Zhou, didn’t you say Zhao Yali takes good care of you? Whenever you want, she strips down to serve you. The Zhou family is worth billions, and Zhao Yali serves you like that. Is it really so hard for her to pay 200,000 for him?” “I... I...” “No excuses. If you don’t have the money, just say so, idiot.” Chen Hao rolled his eyes and continued, “You called me poor, but I think you’re the real pauper. Not even 200,000 to your name—how shameful.” “I...” Zhou Shao was finally provoked and took out his phone, scanning Chen Hao’s code to transfer 200,000. Chen Hao then said, “Now we should talk about the house.” Wang Su hurriedly cut in, “Your name isn’t on the property deed, so it’s none of your business.”
