Only a few people remained on-site, barely able to maintain their composure within such a limited circle.

Their excitement also placed immense pressure on Qin Feng’s bidding.

This sword resonated with the sword bone within him; no matter what, he was determined to win this auction!

Even if it meant spending every last spirit stone he had, he was willing to pay the price!

“Two thousand three hundred!”

“Two thousand three hundred! Any higher bids? Miss this chance, and it’s gone for good!”

The auctioneer spoke with excitement.

They originally hadn’t intended to pay a high price for this sword.

After all, although it was, as they said, a peerless sword, the cost of restoring it would be so high that it might as well be replaced with a new one!

Moreover, the extent of the damage was beyond the comprehension of ordinary forging masters. With the intricate array patterns engraved on the blade, they would need an array master to assess it as well.

In this world, only the major powers—and specifically those with influential figures—could afford such experts.

The auctioneer glanced at the audience again.

“Three thousand!” Qin Feng raised his bidding paddle decisively.

At this price, no one else was likely to compete.

The earlier excitement had faded, and anyone considering raising the bid further would have to seriously weigh the value.

Just as Qin Feng was brimming with confidence, the Empress of the Nine Nether Realms spoke in his mind, revealing what she had just realized.

“If my judgment is correct, the aura I sensed earlier is emanating from this sword. It’s definitely more than just a mid-tier sword as they claimed.”

“Today, you can bid boldly. With me here, no one can take this sword from your hands!”

“Once you win the sword, I will assist you in researching it further.”

Her words carried an aura of supreme authority.

Even without her urging, Qin Feng was determined to possess this sword.

“Three thousand and one.”

Just as Qin Feng thought the auction was over, a voice rang out from the upper floor.

Qin Feng’s gaze turned dangerous.

He saw the arrogant face of Chen Tianyu.

He looked at Qin Feng with smug satisfaction.

“How’s that?”

“Didn’t expect this, did you?”

“You tricked me earlier, but this time, I’ll make sure you never get what you want!”

Chen Tianyu could tell that this sword was exactly what Qin Feng desired, otherwise he wouldn’t be bidding in the final moments.

As Chen Tianyu spoke, others recognized the two men as the ones who had quarreled before.

Despite the sword’s worn appearance, they watched the conflict between the two with great interest.

“Qin Feng, though you’re a useless man yourself, this broken sword suits you well. But unfortunately, you’ve crossed me.”

“If you obediently came over and kowtowed twice, maybe I’d take pity and let you have this sword.”

From his previous investigations, Chen Tianyu knew Qin Feng’s Jade Blossom Peak was utterly destitute. Only a fool like him could hold such good resources yet still end up in such a sorry state!

Since he didn’t cherish it, he would just wait and claim it for himself!

Thinking of his father, Chen Tianyu already had a brilliant idea.

He failed to notice the killing intent in Qin Feng’s eyes as he looked at him, though Qin Feng quickly withdrew his gaze to maintain decorum at the auction.

“Three thousand four hundred!”

This was almost all the spirit stones Chen Tianyu had left!

“Four thousand!”

Qin Feng responded with a raise, and Chen Tianyu matched him.

Back and forth they went.

The price quickly soared from four hundred to five thousand five hundred!

The auctioneer looked on excitedly, hoping they would continue.

Others present were at a loss for words, just watching the two battle it out.

After calling out five thousand five hundred, Chen Tianyu began to regret it, watching Qin Feng, hoping he would raise again.

No matter how high the bid, he was willing to let Qin Feng buy it.

But Qin Feng silently stared at him.

Chen Tianyu’s forehead broke out in a cold sweat.

Why no raise?

Hurry up and bid!

Clenching his fists, he waited anxiously for Qin Feng’s voice.

Silence.

Endless silence.

The auctioneer upstairs began the countdown.

Just as Chen Tianyu wished he could rush down and shake Qin Feng into bidding faster—

Qin Feng finally spoke.

He turned to the auction manager beside him. “I have a question. If a bidder increases their offer but then cannot pay the spirit stones, what do you do?”

“Of course, we detain the person until they pay back. If they have no money, they pay with their life!” The manager's voice was cold and unyielding.

“Very well. Then I demand that your auction house verify this person’s funds!” Qin Feng pointed at Chen Tianyu, his tone serious. “I suspect he is maliciously bidding.”

“Furthermore, I strongly suspect your auction house is colluding with him to drive up the prices maliciously!”

Qin Feng’s accusation drew gasps from the crowd.

Whispers spread below.

The VIP rooms above the auction hall watched the scene with growing interest.

“This little guy—didn’t expect him to drag the auction house into his feud just to defeat his enemy.”

“Does he know what consequences this could bring?”

In the top-tier private suite upstairs, Bai Muya frowned at the scene.

“What is he trying to do now?”

Her attendant responded quickly, “It seems he’s afraid you regret breaking the engagement and wants to use this to get your attention.”

“Miss, don’t be fooled by a man like this. A man like him doesn’t deserve to stay by your side or protect you.”

Bai Muya listened and found their words reasonable.

She snorted coldly, “Send someone down to explain the situation.”

“Also, have them check if this man is maliciously bidding.”

“When he first came in, the look he gave me was unpleasant.”

That look reminded her of those men who once looked at her the same way!

But Bai Muya was no one’s subordinate, nor would she pity any man.

Her subordinate left promptly.

Chen Tianyu saw the approaching men preparing to verify his spirit stones and instantly panicked.

“Who do you think you are to inspect me? Do you know who I am?” he shouted, trying to intimidate them with bluster.

The inspectors exchanged glances and stepped forward.
