Volume 1, Chapter 24: Classified Intelligence
"Can you tell me one thing?" He drifted once more into that state of drunken stupor, eyes slightly opening as he nodded—likely out of respect for the man with the gold tooth.
Feng Jinglan was bewildered. It fluctuated between immense power and utter weakness; it possessed neither spiritual fluctuations nor signs of vitality. Was it playing some kind of tongue-twister?
With a suitcase in one hand and a cat tucked under her arm, Feng Jinglan returned to the Zhou family’s painted pleasure boat to find Zhou Minglan clearly waiting for her with a group of people.
Huangfu Rui had not been like this with her for a long time, for he feared losing control—after all, she was currently with child.
As he spoke, he took Feng Tian’s hand and walked toward the other end of the flowerbed. Rong Zheng watched their retreating figures and sighed softly.
Lu Xin shook his head hurriedly. At a time like this, how could he dare to say Li Zhi was wrong? He didn’t even dare to utter a single word of dissent. Li Zhi was a total brute; if one wasn't careful, a fist would come crashing down.
Ying Wuhuan clearly looked as if he had given up on everything. He looked at her—what was the point of looking? Was she expected to clean up this entire mess?
The Crystal Avenue was crafted from special materials, as were the crystal balls. The method of using a guide to lure elemental particles into the avenue was a specialized technique, allowing the guided individual to stand upon the path and be drawn in by its power, thereby awakening.
Every treasure of heaven and earth possesses its own pride. Much like a peerless sword that only a legendary master can wield, Feng Jinglan, a commoner from a desolate land who knew nothing of cultivation, was surely nothing more than a vessel for the treasure to inhabit.
After saying this, the guard retreated into Qingqu City and ordered the gates to be shut tight. Luo Ziyang frowned, and just as he turned to leave, he heard his deputy speak.
"I want to acquire a logistics company under the name of Taobao, to provide high-quality, convenient, and low-cost services to merchants across the country." Zhou Dongliang grew more excited as he spoke; as a high-level employee with ideals and goals, his greatest fear was that his ideas would not be recognized by his boss.
Huaixi’s words nearly choked Ning Yue, and Meng Ting’s face flushed a deep red, her fingers nervously twisting the corner of her clothes, not knowing what to say.
This plain was vast and wide, filled with blooming flowers everywhere, the scenery exceptionally beautiful.
This was the first time Ning Yue had released the fully matured Three Souls World, and a sense of vicissitudes surged forth in that moment.
Xuan Yi’s strength was not to be underestimated. If Chu Ming could simply suppress and defeat this guy by relying on the Nether Soul-Refining Art, then the victory of this battle would have come far too easily.
Luo Yuchen groaned, his remaining consciousness flickering between hazy and clear. His body had reached its limit.
Golden light flickered in Luo Yutian’s eyes as he released his mental detection and mental sharing. Though a bit late, it was still in time.
There were two choices: hunt the person down and silence them, or flee far away immediately. The Hu family would absolutely never let him go.
Those cold, icy eyes fell upon Luo Yutian like a slab of ice pressed against his face.
"I will ask you one more time! Are you leaving or not? In this vast world, do not think that your Huashan Sect is truly a formidable force!" A layer of frost began to glaze over the old man’s eyes.
"Alright." Luke’s answer clearly did not satisfy Han Xue'er, who pouted slightly, looking incredibly adorable.
Its strength was as unremarkable as its size, but this bat-winged demon possessed exceptionally keen perception.
"Yunxiao!" Tu Kun’s face erupted with wild joy upon seeing him; he rushed over, pulled Tu Yunxiao up, and looked at him with agitation.
Huang Jiujin was somewhat angry and demanded, "If that is the case, why would the Zhu family incite the mountain folk to do such a thing?"
"At this point, what use is there in just being afraid?" Mu Feng looked coldly at the wild bull as he replied.
"You’re courting death!" Seeing Fan Jiao’s injuries, Tu Ming’s eyes burned with such rage they seemed about to split. He looked toward the Murong family’s direction, his gaze terrifyingly cold.
"What is going on? Why hasn't Brother come out after being in there for so long? Nothing could have happened to him, right?" Yekong asked anxiously.
He had just sensed a strong wood-attribute energy hidden within the tree roots. He had not expected it to actually trigger a reaction from the Shennong Pharmacopoeia. Though he didn't know exactly what it was, it was certainly no ordinary object; even a holy medicine could not provoke such a reaction from the Shennong Pharmacopoeia.
"No!" the heir cried out in fury. Thousands upon thousands of feathers pierced into her body, rupturing her soft tissues from within.
She tried to refuse, of course, but he wouldn't hear of it. They remained at a stalemate for a long time until, to avoid attracting the attention of more neighbors, she had no choice but to climb onto his broad back and let him carry her out of the alley.
"Asking for leave?" Qi Yu felt things were getting serious. She was a workaholic; to think she actually asked for leave? Was it because of what happened earlier?
"I originally intended to kill that innkeeper, but since he handed it over voluntarily, I just taught him a lesson." Cheng Feng spoke as if mentioning something trivial, his tone not changing in the slightest.
The second person to notice his anomaly was the tour guide leading the group. He glanced in this direction with some confusion, then, under Chen Junjie’s vigilant gaze, turned away, seemingly none the wiser.
"Hi! Tang Ruoyao, good morning!" Han Xiaowei waved at Tang Ruoyao and called out sweetly.
With a sigh from Du Chong, the weapon fragments previously controlled by Chi-Dai fell back to the ground.
Though he didn't know why Orochimaru was helping him kill Manda, it was a huge favor, removing a watchdog that stood in the way of meeting the White Snake Sage.
Seeing that everyone was alright, I felt quite relieved. We were all men, so there was no need to be overly sentimental; one glance was enough to tell if the other had been injured.
Seeing his strange expression, and the way he glanced at A-Yang when he said that to me, I was utterly baffled, though I paid it no mind.
"Boom—" The roar of the magic crystal cannon rang out once more. But this time, only one cannon emitted a red glow, and the light it released was exceptionally more intense than before.
The sprayed blood, as if encountering water, quickly merged into Chang Kong’s body.
After a brief interlude, Lu Bu returned to his cycle of knocking away anyone who approached. As the morale of the surrounding martial artists continued to plummet, his victory in this martial arts examination was only a matter of time.
Ashe Ling took out the Tree of Life. Its emerald green light instantly brightened the entire cavern, though the deeper parts of the cave remained exceptionally dim.
