Chapter 36: Not Meant for You
“Have you had enough?”
Qiao Weiwei tightened her grip, forcing her neck down against the sink before turning on the faucet.
“Time to wake up!”
Her eyes remained utterly calm. “This is the last time. Next time, I won’t be so patient.”
Lin Zhiyi struck the sink and covered her waist in pain. Seeing Qiao Weiwei turn to leave, she lunged at her from behind.
“You already have Gu Jinian backing you up, so why are you still clinging to Brother Zhiyuan?”
Splash!
“Nothing’s wrong with it. It’s just that there’s a better place, so why not move?” Li Gang was a fairly sensible man and asked with concern.
“There’s nothing particularly special about it, is there?” Yuyan examined it carefully, but could not find anything unusual.
Her threat had the desired effect. The baby fell silent. Jin Yuyan glared angrily out the car window and ignored it.
It was just that, apart from a few differences in the arrangement of the objects inside, the overall feeling was exactly the same.
The instant he released his grip, Yuyan hooked her foot around the man’s neck and threw him. With a heavy splash, he landed flat on his back.
“Very good.” Yuyan nodded, though inwardly she was praising him. He really was her man—he understood her so well.
Several rows of dragon eggs were arranged in perfect order. What astonished Chu Yun was that every egg had an opening. He approached to take a closer look, only to discover that there was no egg white or yolk inside.
Just as he was growing bored from walking, the distinctive cry of a baby suddenly pierced his ears, making his entire body shudder.
After discussing the matter, the group ultimately decided to pay a visit to this Deity Transformation cultivator. After all, he was the fourth Deity Transformation expert in all of China. They had to see him for themselves, as his existence represented yet another rise in China’s strength.
Fang Yu toyed with it delicately, as though handling a priceless treasure, while speaking in a gentle, unhurried voice. Liu Shiyan’s entire body tingled and trembled. That intense sensation spread from her chest throughout her body, reaching the deepest recesses of her heart, and her delicate frame began to shake involuntarily.
In truth, Meng Anya had originally intended to give everything in the rear mountains to Awa after leaving. But thinking so did not necessarily mean she would actually do it.
“Coming, Master.” After hearing that Zhang Sheng’s shout sounded somewhat different from usual, Anyang immediately became serious and hurried over.
What Cheng Jiajia did not know was that most of those who wished they could tear her apart had actually been young people from outside the school whom Li Sen and the others had hired. The students of the school itself were still fairly rational; they had merely been misled and were deeply disappointed. None of them had expected the school to harbor such a parasite.
Turning abruptly, Xiahou Ruo caught sight of Feng Suyuan not far away. She was dressed with understated elegance, just as her name suggested, but there was a seductive charm between her brows that Xiahou Ruo disliked.
Grandpa Cheng pressed a hand over his wildly pounding heart and stared blankly in the direction where the wooden tub had vanished. Bewildered, he wondered, What the heck is going on?
It was true that, because of Fang Mudi’s identity, the common people would no longer gossip recklessly. But the servants of both the Fang and Cui families had seen everything. If Cui Sheng continued behaving so recklessly, how could Fang Mudi preserve the dignity of a noble lady before the public?
After Long Luo returned to the Long family, Xiao Yu began to busy himself. Qin Yang had already booked out the entire inn, driving everyone else away. This third young master of the Prince of Qin’s household was far more overbearing in his actions than Xiao Yu.
There was nothing he could do. The strength displayed by these few beastmen was simply too great, and as a first-rank beastman, he had no hope of standing against them.
Blood was thicker than water—that was precisely how it was. Although Xiansi was not Qi Jingyao’s biological daughter, she had never treated Xuan’er any differently. Strangely enough, whenever Fu Xuan cried without stopping, if Xiansi was nearby, she would always take her younger brother into her arms. Fu Xuan seemed able to understand her feelings, as though their hearts were connected, and would immediately stop crying.
When he saw the Destroyer Black Dragon attempting to leave its lair and take flight once more, Fang Jin knew that this unprecedented campaign had reached its most critical moment.
Bulma took out a capsule. With a bang, it released its contents, and Brief saw a pile of mechanical fragments tumble onto the laboratory table.
