Tang Zhaoyu was stunned, while Ye Mingyuan quietly exhaled in relief. It seemed that Lei Ting’s intervention was not to support the Tang family, but for some other reason.

After Lei Ting and his two companions left, the invisible pressure dissipated, and people finally realized the storm they had just endured. Many were drenched in cold sweat on their backs.

Someone snorted softly, murmuring, “Who does this so-called Elder Lei think he is, giving orders here?”

Ye Ziqing had been quietly observing all along, but now suddenly snorted coldly and raised his voice: “This matter can’t just be let go like this!”

Ye Mingyuan’s face changed drastically; he spun around, glaring fiercely at him, his voice stern: “Silence! That’s enough for today. You will return immediately!”

Ye Ziqing was not convinced: “Our Ye family is the leader of the Deep City market. Why should we fear some old man from the provincial capital?”

With a loud slap, Ye Mingyuan’s palm struck Ye Ziqing’s face heavily, and he roared, “If you keep babbling nonsense, I’ll break your legs!”

It was the first time Ye Mingyuan had struck Ye Ziqing; he bit down hard enough to draw blood. Ye Mingyuan transferred all his anger onto Fang Tao, his gaze sharp as a blade, coldly saying, “This matter will not end here.”

With that, he pushed past two burly men blocking his way and strode off without looking back.

The guests who witnessed this were all astonished.

No one had expected the dispute to conclude in such a manner!

Fang Tao watched the departing figure; now he had made an enemy of the Ye family.

“Mom, let’s go home!” Tang Xinyi’s mother, Shen Yi, looked pale and breathless, weakly speaking as she leaned on Tang Xinyi.

“Mom, what’s wrong?” Tang Xinyi asked with concern.

“It’s nothing, just a bit of chest tightness. Let’s go quickly!” Shen Yi clearly did not want to linger even a second longer.

Fang Tao noticed something was wrong and said seriously, “Mom might be having a heart attack. Do you have the medicine?”

“Yes, it’s in my bag,” Shen Yi’s voice grew weaker.

“You hold her steady, I’ll get it,” Tang Xinyi said urgently.

Fang Tao supported Shen Yi, gently pressing his left hand on her back, slowly transmitting a warm energy to help calm her heartbeat.

Tang Xinyi found the medicine and gave her mother a few heart-relief pills.

“Mom, I think we should take you to the hospital for a check-up!”

“No need. I know my body. Going to the hospital won’t help much. Resting at home is enough,” Shen Yi shook her head, showing an instinctive resistance to hospitals.

“No hospital then. Her condition isn’t severe. After we get home, I’ll give her an acupuncture session, and it should improve a lot,” Fang Tao reassured softly, releasing his hold.

Tang Xinyi looked at him in surprise: “You know acupuncture?”

Fang Tao smiled slightly, a hint of shyness in his voice: “I learned some skills from my master a long time ago...”

The three of them helped Shen Yi out of the hotel but were surprised to find Zheng Li still waiting outside.

“Why haven’t you left yet? I’m no longer the president. You should go back to the company,” Tang Xinyi said, somewhat surprised.

Zheng Li’s gaze was determined: “Since President Tang isn’t at the company, I won’t go back either. I want to stay by your side and support you.”

Tang Xinyi sighed and shook her head: “What difference will it make if you stay?”

“I believe President Tang can rise again,” Zheng Li replied.

“Rising again isn’t that easy,” Tang Xinyi said with a sigh.

“I know this is your hardest time, but I can’t leave you now. Please let me stay!” Zheng Li said earnestly.

Tang Xinyi thought for a moment, then nodded: “If you insist, then stay. But I won’t restrict you—you can leave whenever you want.”

“I won’t leave,” Zheng Li was resolute.

In the car, Tang Xinyi told her mother, “Mom, let’s go to the Yunding community first. Fang Tao will take a look at you.”

Though she was unsure about Fang Tao’s medical skills, since her mother refused the hospital, this was the only option.

“Mm...” Shen Yi responded weakly, looking a bit better but still fatigued.

Upon arriving at the Yunding villa, Fang Tao fetched his acupuncture tools from his room and helped Shen Yi lie down on the sofa to rest.

Seeing Fang Tao prepare for acupuncture, Tang Xinyi nervously asked, “Are you really going to use needles? Is this reliable?”

“Do you think traditional acupuncture is useless?” Fang Tao said casually, pulling out a slender gold needle.

“It’s not that I don’t believe in acupuncture, I’m just worried if you really know how to do it,” Tang Xinyi asked doubtfully.

“Don’t worry. She’s my mother-in-law. If I wasn’t confident, do you think I’d dare to move a needle casually? If anything goes wrong, won’t you come after me?” Fang Tao joked.

“True...” Tang Xinyi responded, then couldn’t help but ask, “Do you need to take off her clothes?”

“No need...” Fang Tao answered.

“But heart disease usually requires special treatment. Can you really do acupuncture through clothes?” Tang Xinyi continued.

“Relax. Different ailments require different methods. Acupuncture has its unique techniques,” Fang Tao explained as he began the treatment.

“Who said I’m stabbing the heart?” Fang Tao glanced at Shen Yi, feeling a sudden helplessness.

He said no more, gently took Shen Yi’s left hand, and precisely inserted a gold needle into the Shenmen point on her wrist.

Then, with smooth and flowing movements, three more needles were expertly placed at Shaohai, Neiguan, and Quze acupuncture points.

Once the four needles were in place, Fang Tao flicked his hand gently; the needles trembled slightly, as if an invisible dragon was swimming, with four subtle energies flowing along the meridians toward the heart.

Tang Xinyi and Zheng Li watched tensely, fearing any discomfort for Shen Yi. But Shen Yi’s breathing gradually steadied, and her pale complexion regained some rosy color.

“Mom, how do you feel now?” Tang Xinyi couldn’t help but ask, her worry evident.

“Much better. My body feels warm, and my heart no longer races or flutters. Looks like little Fang really knows acupuncture,” Shen Yi’s expression relaxed.

Tang Xinyi looked at Fang Tao in surprise: “I didn’t expect you to be so skilled medically.”

“Of course. I’m a versatile person; medicine is just one of my skills,” Fang Tao replied proudly.

“Come on, you’re bragging,” Tang Xinyi said skeptically, thinking that if Fang Tao was really that capable, how did he end up kicked out by the Wang family?

Fang Tao merely smiled faintly, not elaborating. Some things aren’t so easily explained.

About ten minutes later, Fang Tao carefully removed the needles.

“This is definitely more comfortable than injections or pills...” Shen Yi sat up, surprise and doubt mixed on her face.

“Your heart condition isn’t serious. With consistent treatment, you can fully recover,” Fang Tao said as he packed his tools.
