On the outskirts of Gotham City, at a train station, a rather ordinary robbery took place.

The robber seemed inexperienced. Just a few steps beyond the camera’s range, he hastily pressed a gun against the young man’s lower back ahead of him. “Drop your backpack! Don’t try anything funny!”

The unlucky victim paused, instinctively wanting to turn around. This made the robber even more nervous, and the gun barrel jabbed sharply into the young man’s back. “Don’t move, don’t move!”

The unlucky victim—named Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man—let out a heavy sigh.

He knew Gotham wasn’t safe, but seriously, this was his first time in Gotham! Robbing a newcomer from out of town—was that really the best idea?

Peter’s arrival in Gotham was something even he hadn’t anticipated.

He had long heard of Gotham’s notorious reputation. Compared to New York, Gotham seemed to need a friendly, helpful neighborhood hero even more. But Peter had been busy dealing with multiple world-shattering crises and couldn’t just abandon everything in New York to help out in Gotham, especially since he’d heard some vigilantes there were hostile to outsiders.

Under normal circumstances, Peter would have been attending Columbia University with his good friends Ned and Michelle, maintaining his secret identity as Spider-Man while continuing to be a good neighbor in New York. But fate was unpredictable. His true identity was exposed, followed by a multiverse crisis. Peter made a fatal mistake; his last remaining relative, Aunt May, died. All of his e
